SOLIDWORKS includes three integrated Motion solvers for creating videos and animations in assemblies. Animation and Basic Motion are included in every license of SOLIDWORKS, and Motion Analysis is available with SOLIDWORKS Premium or any Simulation license. This tutorial series will help you understand the basic skills to get started even if you have never created animations before. Videos are broken down by topic for easy searching. Subscribe to get notifications for new videos and participate in the comments with questions and requests.
The Animation Wizard is the easiest way to get started creating animations, requiring only a basic understanding of the timeline and allowing you to re-use existing information from explode views or a mate controller feature to define locations.

Remember to make the robot gripper subassy FLEXIBLE before use mate controller wizard. Or the gripper won't move.

Very true, either make it flexible or dissolve it for the motion study.

@@MLCCADSystems I found a weird one these days. I make animation by wizard as per the preset mate controllers. But I lost the movement of the figures in the subassy every time I reopen the model. Eventually It luckily got solved after I saved the file without rebuilding the model. (I guess SW only saved the animation but not the model itself.) Another thing is, evenought it got solved, the key points or the mate for the figures keep invisible in the motion anylasis. What is the reason behind this?

It is hard to say without looking at the behavior or the models. I recommend checking in with your VAR for support to see if they can help you get it sorted out.

Usually, a robot is a subassembly, used in a larger machine, how you import mate controller data on a subassembly?

thanks , videos are so helpful , I want to ask something , should there be angle or distance mate between two parts in order to use mate controller ? Because I set concentric and concident mate between parts and mate controller doesn't work.

Coincident and Concentric mates are static values that can only be solved in one location, so they will not work with the Mate Controller. Use mates like Distance or Limit Distance, Angle or Limit Angle, and the mate controller will allow you to change the distance to generate motion.
