    I should have explained in the video.....the trailer that was blown over did not belong to Mr. Beggs and he did not place the trailer there. This was a rental trailer and the rental company placed the trailer. I had lifted a different trailer for Mr. Beggs twice in the past and after the second time he had us reposition that trailer East-West just like the final location of the trailer in this video. Thanks for watching and God bless.

      Ron Pratt I agree with you on not having the 2 snatch blocks rubbing against each other 1 cause it lets he block pivot and 2 it reduces the chances of the cables rubbing against each other causing a flat spot in the cables that can weaken the strength of the line

    Hey Ron, I’m watching this video a bit late as you can see, but I live within daily driving distance of Nashville, thankfully nobody I know was personally injured, but some friends did have loved ones get affected. Really does prove the dangers of storms, especially ones at night and tornado producers. Be safe out there and we have regained ourselves well.

    This is truly ASMR for old wrecker drivers!😁👍 I pulled for AAA in Fla. back in the 1980's, and we could only dream of having nice automated equipment like this. I ran an old Ford with a Holmes 550 double-boom, and although it wasn't capable of righting semi-trailers, we did pull some fairly large buses out of muddy, sandy situations!😉 You guys plan well and execute your moves well, and you know the limits of your equipment, and that's vital in moving extremely heavy objects safely. Hope you're all staying healthy with all this virus crap going on.😷 Great video, thanks for posting!😉 🚛💪👍👍

    Ron, If you get a lot of jobs with ground damage like this one, (and I've seen a few that you've had) maybe you might think of adding a skid steer to your vehicles/tools. You would find it useful to repair ground damage, clean up burned vehicles, level the gravel in your lot, and other uses. You can easily transport it on one of your rollbacks. (I would suggest a tracked and not a wheeled skid steer.) Stay Safe.

    My dad was in the steel business his whole life in Cleveland. They used to make those cable lines and some of them were rated up to a million pounds. Looks like yours would at least be rated at 100,000 pounds. That's probably all you'll ever need.

  • @MRHSDM316SD18186
    @MRHSDM316SD18186 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I watched this last night when I was at work; very impressive. An idea I thought of (million dollar idea that possibly someone has already done) is to build either a set of "extra large feet" for the landing gear that has the steel beveled up on all sides so when a trailer has to get pulled from the side in this manner the landing gear does not act like a furrow and dig a trench and it would "skate across" whatever ground the trailer is on.......

    Brother Ron, I’m an old man that doesn’t do much any more other than keeping up with the yard work, and watching You Tube videos, especially during this virus situation. Just wanted to let you know your videos are one of my favorites. We don’t find many that profess Christianity in their every day life any more. Thanks again Ron for the incredibly informative video of the trailer recovery. Growing up through the third grade I lived across the street from a family named Pratt. Thanks again and keep them coming as we work through this plague.

After we got the new FMTV Wrecker simple hook and book jobs became all day affairs. They just didn't have the same muscle the 900 Series did.
