lol. Don't let your horse know you're nervous. Go with an experienced group that will take it at YOUR pace. Have fun! Not sure where you are but if you ever end up in Maryland, USA you're welcome to join me!

I ride reining horses and I have a quarter horse thoroughbred that jumped over a fence. we had her in a little pen because we were harrowing the arena. And she jumped a fence that was blocking the barn. That fence is the same height as the top of my hip bone! She is bred to do cutting (cow work) and reining. I want to ride her English and maybe jump little obstacles. She is very "hot" (meaning very athletic and can scare you very easily) her trainer trained her in a stall because he was scared of her. Even my mom is scared of her. Her registered name is "Players Little Flyer" but we call her Buggs because everything Buggs her. I have ridden English before and love it. The saddle is WAY lighter.
I used to ride a games pony that was super hot too. He ended up being an awesome little jumper. You just had to be careful he didn't loose you when he took a fast turn. lol. I'd try your mare at jumping and see if she likes it.
I love jumping, I wish I could go on a jumping trail like this. But, jumping isn't a big thing down here in Mississippi, so I barrel race and do reining until I move again
OMG ur literally my motivation to go and do these on my mare! Except the only downside is that the only person I can go with is my mom bc I’m 13 and there is other people I can go with but my moms sisters horse plays up too much and my older cousin doesn’t know how to jump or canter yet sadly but I have to wait like 1 year almost to go with my mom bc at the moment she is 13 weeks pregnant so I have to look after her 15.2h gelding 😂 which is ok bc I own a 15.1h dopey mare but he’s mental sometimes 😂
Sorry this is so late! I got locked out of my old account. You do not have to have body protection. That was a requirement of the trainer. I, any many people at the event, opted not to wear it. In one video that I posted where the woman on the paint rides with the camera you will see I don't have anything on. I love that it's like team cross country and it helps train younger horses to just go and get the jump. My older guy (the grey) LOVES jumping so he thought this was a blast.
What Deanna said, however, there are always new things to learn and advance on. Even Olympic riders are still learning new techniques and such about riding.
The darker grey is a Warmblood (I think an Oldenburg, I'd have to ask his mom), the whiter grey is an American Cream cross, the palomino is a QH, and the paint I think might have some QH in him.
it would be better if the head cam was in back so we could see everyone, plus you wouldnt have to keep looking back. Put it on the horse that brings up the rear!
We tried that in another of the videos on here. It was actually worse I think lol. We looked like specks in the distance and you saw waaayy too much butt. I always turn around to check on everyone anyway. Wearing the camera didn't encourage that.
That was a HORRIBLY marked trail, but you ladies do great together! I enjoy watching you ride together
