I love this so much. Horror doesn't need to rely on jumpscares. This is terrifying for your lack of knowledge. You expect something to happen. You expect something to come out, and yet it doesn't. It is also a really nice rendition of the drowning theme. It is slightly different to fit your style. Edit: I get it. It’s Terror not horror.
What I love about this: -Compressed audio perfectly fits the "bootleg Sonic game" vibe -Theme slowly speeds up -Various different instruments and that one riser sound effect make it feel so much more tense -Tune isn't just built on three notes played over and over

His green hill sounds so nice and calm yet unsettling at the same time, this is not necessarily scary but rather, somewhat nostalgic and off putting. Sure with a bit of scare as a side of salt. I love this! It has a very creepy atmosphere, very reminiscent of liminal spaces. And the music itself is wonderful. It sounds similar to the regular drowning theme we all know and "love", while also standing out on it's own very well. I especially like the weird droning synth in the beginning, as it gives off the feeling of something alien being there. Overall wonderful video and music. (A bit curious how you made the visualizer)

My imagination went way to Wildwood listening to this and I nearly screamed because it made me picture a giant lanky creature chasing me through my own house in the middle of the night,
Sometimes all you need is an atmosphere and the correct tones to get you on edge, even when nothing is going on to startle you. I think that's the best thing you can do in horror content. Make an atmosphere that keeps you on edge and worried what might or might not pop out around that next corner.
Im guessing were either going through the pov as Tails or someone’s soul that’s possessing Tails as we see him running from rewrite cause in 0:23 after passing the left piller The Soul sees Rewrite and immediately goes Right trying to get away but Rewrite already caught up with him and the player is forcefully closed out of the game i.m guessing Rewrite realized the player wasn’t playing due to the soul running around at their own free will so Rewrite killed Tails to rid of the soul and “Rewrote” his code back to the player movement code so the player can control Tails again. He doesn’t want the player to get suspicious like The Boyfriend did he wants his game to be complete but the souls keep coming back in either to warn the player or to try and get rid of Rewrite himself.
Oh, it’s about Sonic. I thought this was the theme song of the abstract concept of drowning. Well to be fair, it also functions very well as a theme song for the abstract concept of drowning
