    *Note you have to hook from Right and push it back to the left* Its Oct 2024 and thus video just helped me out👍🏾 I tried it with a regular flat screw driver and it wouldn't hook, I went and bought a pocket size one and BOOM it actually worked like a charm...it was dark and late so I had some trouble at first but this works

    It infuriates me that the rear gate has no other means of operation other than the fob. Not even a dash button. No easy handle to reach or button in the trunk, not even a hidden latch like the previous gen. This is ridiculous to fiddle with a flat head. Has anyone been able to mod this with a pull chord or some other manual operation?

      Yes if you go back there you'll see that there's things that you can pull away or little squares or something there's something back there that you can remove or you got to take the cover off the handle and then get the screws out from behind it and then pull the plastic away you might break it but there's a way to get in there

    only works if the window hasn't been shattered and the glass company cleans out the glass.........otherwise all that glass finds its way into the latch mechanism and becomes jammed like a mfer. 3 times so far, 4 hrs of blowing air and trying to break the glass into smaller peices to get them out of latch mechanism so it would open, then clean out all the glass they left behind and replace latch.
    find a reputable glass company folks.

    • @FordBossMe
      @FordBossMe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's a full-size Transit you just remove the access panel underneath the dash and then you pull the footwell vent out of the way which is a couple quick release tabs and then you unplug the electrical connector and then there's like three Torx screws that come out in the blower drops out

      I wouldn't recommend joking about breaking glass. Too many problems arise when replacing hinges or the tailgate, and saving the old glass without it breaking. Just look at it wrong and it can break, then the angry customer is assigning blame and waiting on more than just a hinge, now waiting on a replacement glass to get delivered. ⚠️💔🤦🏻‍♂️💩
      Just had a broken 2008 Explorer rear glass hinge. the glass was still good hanging on 1 hinge and duct tape by the customer, but it shattered after replacing that hinge, just takes 1 tiny stress point to cause tempered glass too shatter, it can happen after the repair is competed with nobody around, still shatters. 💔😥🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️💩🤬
