Since size is not always something that comes off well in video, I included a number of different aircraft to compare this Syma RC Flying Car side by side. Hopefully you will be familiar with at least one of them to help you get a better idea of its size.
I started with my other Syma products, which are the Syma X8C Venture Drone, Syma X5SC-1 Falcon Drone, and Syma X12 Nano Drone. Just for fun I threw in a size comparison with the WLtoys F949 Cessna 182.
The other quad options I compared it to are the new Dromida Verso, Blade Nano QX 3D, Blade Inductrix, Estes Proto-Z, Estes Proto-X, and Cheerson CX-10.
Here are my review notes:
Pros:
- A lot of fun
- Files well for its weight
- Two flight modes
- Durable
- No integrated battery
Cons
- It needs more space to do funnels and other "tricks" than a typical quadcopter
- 5 minute flight times
Bonus Points for this, I was able to use my WLtoys Cessna 182 battery in this thing, not just the stock battery.
After flying this some more and watching a few other videos, I have my eyes on the SY X25 Flying Car which is also known as the SongYang X25 Flying Car now too. It looks like a lot of fun as well :)

Nice video, I noticed you hardly talked much about the transmitter. Like the screen and what trim does an all that. Plus that is a very good transmitter of the £50 range. Just for the noobues
The video was already longer than I wanted it to be or I certainly would have dug deeper. Another consideration is the short flight time, so range isn't as important in that scenario since it won't get too far from you before the battery fails.

It a great drone for the price. It very strong and doesn't take much damage even if you have a bad crash. Only downfall is, it doesn't handle wind well.

I am sorry to read that. Did you charge the battery before trying to put a load on it? The flight time does not last long, but it is fun. Let me know if you already charged the pack and it still isn’t working. I believe there is also a switch to flip to turn it on. Binding it to the radio may also be an issue. Are you getting lights to flash on it or is it totally dead?

The only thing this is lacking that would make it better are taller & wider tires… SO that it can go on grass and or dirt…

The other downfall like you said is the battery… With only 600mAh you only get about 5 minutes of fly time..
What you CAN do is take (3) 1.2V rechargeable AAA batteries and wire them up in series to give you 3.6V .. Now you can use a good high capacity AAA battery like the Panasonic Eneloop Pro which are rated at 900 mAh but i have tested these to reach just over 1000 mAh… So now you have a 3.6V ~1000 mAh battery vs a 600 mAh.. Almost double your run time…
Or if you really want to get creative… Use AA rechargeable batteries which the Eneloop Pro’s are rated at 2550 mAh but i have tested those 2 reach ~2700 mAh… Now you got 4 times the power which should yield you ~20 minutes run time…
Problem is, can you fit 3 AA batteries inside that compartment..?? Or maybe rig up 3 AAA’s and somehow tie them to the bottom of the car in a way that they won’t fall out..
Just a thought… :-)
That would likely add too much weight and I don't think it would fit. The solution is to just buy more batteries lol

Maiden of the J-3 yet? I am dying to see it. I have watched chucks Maiden, kinda windy.
I wish man. The short days make it impossible to maiden during the week and the weather this past weekend made it not possible to fly. I am hoping to get it out this weekend for its maiden though.

Hi there! I am not sure what to do to help as mine came bound up to the quad. I would suggest trying to turn on the radio first and then plug in the quad. If that doesn’t work, try the opposite. I hope that is helpful! 👊🏻💥👊🏻

Hey man that is just to cool ' how much $ for 1 ? I have had a # of small helli's & the built in Lipo's have never lasted longer than a tr. or so . I just bought an atom 1.0 micro drone that is very hard to fly even indoors on low speed ' more so than any heli. I have ever had . With the weather here being the mid. of winter ' I dont dare take it out side ' Like the vid. man Jimmie R
