    Great video, have the 2500 (4). I had a ding on mine. I took my grandauther's clear nail polish. Tried to give it a coat. She laughed calls her sister, brings her kit. After 3 coats, I couldn't tell it had been dinged up. That was over a year ago. Still can't tell and working great. Caught a few 2-3 pounders with it. Keep up the good work.

    This reel and the fx seem to be exactly the same with one bearing missing for ten dollars less Get one while you can in case they stop having so much for the price! The 3000 and 4000 have 3 drag washers the others have one so I think the 3000 is best of smaller but with big drag power and is 2500 size and lower gear ratio than 2500 for more power.

    I have two of them and use them for catfish and carp I think they are pretty good for the money. I have reels that are 100.00 200.00 and this 30.00 one feels pretty close to those

      Thanks for the comment! Really good to know. I think my most expensive reel right now is around $60. I think its going to be hard for another brand to come close at the price point of $30 and still feel as rugged as this one does. I will certainly report back if I find something that can match it but for now it holds the throne.
      If you dont mind me asking, any favorite baits for carp or cats?
      Best Regards, Leland

      I use what’s called a Hair Rig and I use corn. The place to buy good carp gear is called Big Carp tackle my biggest carp is 20 pounds at that size they pull so hard it’s just a blast. I even use the same hair rig for catfish with a hot dog at pressures ponds and my biggest on a believe it or not size 6 hook is 8 pound channel cat. So corn for carp and hot dogs soaked in kook aid for smaller catfish. Gotta use live bait for bigger Cats

    Just picked up one of these sienna 4000 and put it on one of my 3 foot (tip to end) ZEBCO DOCK DEMON micro fishing rods with 20 pound test. Can’t wait to catch some CATFISH with it. You know it’s a good reel when you put a $32 reel on a $15 rod. lol.

      Thanks for watching!
      I have my sienna 4000 currently on a 6'6 uglystick gx2 but I have had it on other rods. That combo ends up being my dedicated pike rod. The reel is amazing. I am probably going to be picking up a size 2500 pretty soon!

      @@marisbertelsons9124 Thanks for watching. I feel confident that this type of setup could bring in 30-40 inch pike np

    Is shimano catana better than sienna?

    • @leland_tv717
      @leland_tv717  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have never used the catana it looks like a newer model for shimano. I will say the sienna is a very good spinning reel. You really cant go wrong with it. Its an absolute tank and has the best drag of any reel in that $30 range. Its not flashy but it works very well.
      If you were going to consider something slightly more expensive. I would go with a Daiwa Revros or if you are doing some rugged stuff (swamp, ocean, etc) a Penn Pursuit 3, you can find these for $40-$50 with sales.

      @@leland_tv717 I would use it to spinning pike and smaller catfish

      @@aeonflux6444 Perfect for that application IMO. That is what im using my size 4000 shimano sienna for these days. You will be surprised how good the drag is!

    How do u lock the reel tho

    • @leland_tv717
      @leland_tv717  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Shredzz with Beau. I appreciate you watching my vid and commenting. Im not exactly sure what you mean by "locking" the reel.
      There is a reverse switch on the bottom of the reel and you want to make sure its flipped off if thats what you mean.
      Also if you have just purchased the reel and the arm needs to be tightened down with the little knob on the side?
      Best Regards, Leland
