As I am retired ,65 years old, and never ever watch any news or other television, the farm channels have become my best friend, they reflect an every day outlook on this world around me without all the twisted narratives and blatant lies , folks believe this or not , our farmers are much more important than our government and or it’s crazy off the wall news media companies. Seems as though no matter where a guy decides to raise cattle there are great obstacles, here in NC we have lots of farms raising everything, and this is rather diverse, but just like mike tells us here , it can all go down to one storm , one rain fall , one snow storm , something as simple as a spring shower , makes the difference in profit or loss , be sure to say your prayers tonight folks , and always ask in the name of the son.
I have a new appreciation for farmers I just want to say thank you for all your hard work because if it wasn’t for farmers we would not eat. So I thank you for all that you farmers do.
I keep you in my prayers for all the moisture you can get. We have been blessed here so far to have upwards of 7" of rain in week. We need this moisture. Last year we only got about that all spring and summer.
I'm glad u didn't get alot of snow . We here in Southwest Colorado have been very lucky few inches of snow . Prayers for u having plenty of hay for your herd
Prayers for moisture. Where I'm located people would be completely crazy with that much snow. 2" closes schools here. Personally I'd love to see a really good snow.
Mike, I enjoy your posts a lot as they always real. I’m from SW Pa and farm 300 acres and am able to run 60 brood cows, raising all forage on the farm. While our farms are quite different, there are problems we both deal with. I wish I could order my rain on Amazon when I want it, free of charge.
Hi! Just found your channel! Great video - so informative. I’m an innkeeper on the coast of Maine. The closest I come to raising animals is my cat! You do a great job with your “herd”. I look forward to watching your herd grow.
I feel your dilemma, I am on the south side of that storm and we didn't get anything either. We haven't had measurable moisture over 10" in the last 2 years. We are in severe drought, Mother nature teases us but letting flurries blow by in the 45mph wind but nothing sticks. Hope you get some moisture soon. Yea remember the days I watched the weather close. Now I just make sure I get wood in the house before it gets a little nasty. God bless
I liked buying the farmers almanac. The grocery stores sold them. Blizzard in Cheyenne was bad. I saw videos of people getting stuck. I thought about you. Hope the girls don’t have problems calving for you.
They were predicting up to a foot here in Rock Springs and we maybe got a half inch. The wind was crazy for a few days and that was about it. They closed I80 down from the storm over at Laramie and Cheyenne so lots of trucks and vehicles in town.
I learned at a very young age how dangerous it is out in a snowstorm. Sense of direction is messed up. I remember daddy getting the family car stuck in a field trying to herd cattle into a pen so they didn't scatter in the storm
2 years ago this week had 2 feet of heavy heavy snow... and had a rough winter already up to that point. Piled on. My uncle visited this weekend from Gillette, was monitoring this storm too but didn't do much in your area. Surprisingly did get a couple inches a few hundred miles NE of you... take a little for now in preparation for the windy warm weather coming.
This winter we got 1 3/4 inch Precipitation this past week in two systems in the Panhandles. Our first this winter. Like you, more would be welcome. A 30" snow would fill our soil moisture to 1/2 full. A fine tuned Wheat field makes about 4 bushels for each inch of moisture. The wives tale says it brings nitrogen but science tells how soil bacteria is the over whelming source.
I live in Wheatland & got 39 inches. There is a ton of snow & everything is still pretty much shut down. Lots of moisture in this snow! That's good! Too bad you didn't get a few more inches! I know you need it.
I just want to point out to the viewer that when these extra long commercials appear, if you skip them early, you are actually hurting our host Mike, but, he's not going to tell you that. Disclaimer, Mike and the family are friends who I love very much, and I just happen to know that anytime a commercial runs at least 30 seconds, the ranch profits from it. That said, if you have an extended commercial pop up, 1 minute, 2 and a half minutes, or longer, please, help the ranch by setting down your device and taking care of the quick errand you know you want or need to do: snack from the kitchen, bathroom break, check the kids, whatever. Please help the ranch and let those pesky ads run.
Hey Mike, one thing your cows can always depends on you and you always come through for them. I'm sorry the weather is not in your favor but I know that you're not giving up. You do come up with a plan so you may be down but not out. So whats next for OWL keep up the good work and see you in the next video🤔🤠🐂😉
Well we got more than expected here in Casper. 26.3 inches on Saturday/Sunday, another 5+ inches last night...... We were hoping the Ranch would have got it, but it looked like North of Buffalo missed. This Winter Drought is brutal.
We got hammered. Our shed collapsed. Lost a Jeep, a car, two pickups, and fourwheeler, a boat, a sprayer (Spray Coup), a lawn tractor, a trailer, and a log splitter. Homeowner's insurance claims that the vehicles are not covered.
The weather people don't know what God has in plan, others neighter. They happy cause they loves you and you cares for them, i pray everyone and the animals be ok.
I actually was praying that you guys would have received a decent amout of snow just so you would have moisture for pasture and charging ponds Rancher/Farmers are the real gamblers knowing when to hold or fold
Was hoping you would get some snow, I know how much you need it. We received 8ish inches of very wet heavy snow in the last week. Made a dent in our conditions. Hoping we get spring rains soon.
It looks like Casper got the better part of the storm. Darn, was hoping we'd get some more snow not that spit snow that barely has any moisture at all in it.
You could contact your local G.o,engineered weather crew and ask them to hit it heavy and hard with the cloud seeding for ya 💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨✈️
Please everyone support the channel by clicking on some omf the links on the ads. It will give support to the channel for Mike and his family.

Prayers for moisture. Where I'm located people would be completely crazy with that much snow. 2" closes schools here. Personally I'd love to see a really good snow.
We missed 2 tropical storms last summer by 40 miles west. We needed the rain .
We did something about our weather. We were sick and tired our cold dreary weather so we left NJ and moved to Florida and we’ve been happy ever since
As tired as I am of winter, I was really hoping you’d get some good moisture from that storm! Fingers crossed for the rest of spring.
Everybody pray for snow for Mike and Aaron on their ranch pray for snow
Always! 🙏
I have been praying for snow. Want to see a hay bailing episode soon.
Her name is Erin, for Pete's sake.
Never mind the snow, pray for an inch of rain every two weeks. along with warmer weather.
🙏🙏🙏
Prayers for moisture for you guys!

I love the math and breakdowns and general like your vids. You have a very professional delivery.
I live in and love Wyoming.
I have a snow removal business and I’ve been making so much money off the snow here in Cheyenne!
Happy calving and hope you get some snowy days soon. Xoxo
Cracker Jack is stunning!
Nice coloring!

I thank you a lot buddy I am starting out and I watch your videos to learn what I need to do. You are very informative and I greatly appreciate it.

I-25 South from Casper still closed as of late this afternoon.
I'm in Southeast Texas and we had a nasty taste of "real" winter last month. All I can say is DAMN! Makes me respect you even more.
Yeah, I’m in the NE part of Texas and we had a week of single digits. Crazy for us!
Love the black & white cow that photo bombed. He should be your mascot.
He has his moments :)
Sure wish I could have sent some north to ya. We’re getting a little more tonight, then again this weekend a couple more inches.
Thank y'all so much for your videos. Thank you that they're informative, interesting AND family friendly 💓💓💓
Loveland Colorado got 12-18 inches.
I’m down east of castle rock, 22.5” officially but drifts were huge as you could see
About an hour from the Wyoming border in Fort Collins co we got 33 inches in our driveway, thought the storm was BS but clearly not
I learned at a very young age how dangerous it is out in a snowstorm. Sense of direction is messed up. I remember daddy getting the family car stuck in a field trying to herd cattle into a pen so they didn't scatter in the storm
I hope you guys get a couple nice 12" snows in the next couple weeks.

For the cows and calves, please

Praying you get a nice wet dump of snow, while it's in the 70'svand 80's here in NE Florida where I live. :) No snow here thank God!
We had 1.25of rain then about a foot of snow on top of it. It was sure rough on the cattle.

We got over 30” in Laramie! It was a heavy wet snow! Hope you get some good moisture soon!
Bummer. We got hammered. I was hoping your ranch would benefit from the moisture as well.
I've missed you guys I'm glad to see you
i'm french farmer and i have same problem :THE HAY in france price of calves is very low ; 1.3dollar per pound
Snowed like crazy over in Casper! Working in Wright on a well site. Wasn’t so bad
Crazy how a few miles make a big difference!
You put out some great videos! Thanks for posting!
Good Evening to Our Wyoming Life and all others too!.
Hope things go well
Always a pleasure watching your video, as always very informative ! Thank you...
Mike, why not rotate some oats into your hay crop? Or rotate a drout tolerant alfalfa in when you have a better year foe moisture?
We got it all in Cheyenne! Be thankful you guys didn’t get what we got. 30+inches. 😬
Prayers for you on calf time
Great video
Have you thought about using NOLO bait for the grasshoppers? It's nontoxic and works for a couple of years..
Dumped down here in Fort Collins! Sorry y'all didn't get much- maybe soon!

The weather people don't know what God has in plan, others neighter. They happy cause they loves you and you cares for them, i pray everyone and the animals be ok.
Well dang it! We got over a foot here near Rapid but in the hills. I was hoping you would have gotten more! You need it way more then we do.
Thanks for the great video on the knowledge about how you measure how much feed you have for your cows
Our pleasure!
we didn't get missed, just over 4 feet, we need the moisture and continue to feed on the sled, AUM's are per cow calf pair or cow, and 5@ for sheep
We are hoping for a spring storm to get the water reservoirs in our pastures full also. Fingers crossed 🤞
30 in 30 yaaaaaaay I can’t wait. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼love you all. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Granny B
I actually was praying that you guys would have received a decent amout of snow just so you would have moisture for pasture and charging ponds

I live in Casper we got 29 inches at my house.
I'll be down to pick some up :)
Was hoping you would get some snow, I know how much you need it. We received 8ish inches of very wet heavy snow in the last week. Made a dent in our conditions. Hoping we get spring rains soon.
Y'all got it light up there, down here in Laramie we got a solid foot and a half. Normally we are the ones the storms go around!
Well extremely glad for you and the cows. But no moisture is rough too. Oh well like we all know. Mother nature's in charge and she is not talking. B
We had plenty of rain this past Sunday here in Iowa. I'm not sure how much we got but I'm guessing about 2-3 inches.
That is absolutely amazing.
Hello from Cincinnati Ohio
Hello Patricia. Love your city!
I watch y'all all the time when i can and always be safe wishing y'all the best
Come help me dig out if you're missing the snow that much!! Got 3' with huge drifts! Good moisture though.
It looks like Casper got the better part of the storm. Darn, was hoping we'd get some more snow not that spit snow that barely has any moisture at all in it.
cant wait for 30-30. getting EXCITED!!!!!!
At this point we’re just praying for a wet wet spring. We’ll add you guys to the petitions to heaven.
Amen!
It's said that farmers spend 90% of their time praying for rain, and 10% praying for it to stop. (I think snow could be substituted!)
I love how your cows are so attentive to you.
Thanks Anna!
Good video Mike
Daniel from central Mississippi
Not that I wish snow on anyone during caving. I did hope you guy got the snow for the moisture
I'll take it, just means a little longer nights :)
You could contact your local G.o,engineered weather crew and ask them to hit it heavy and hard with the cloud seeding for ya 💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨✈️
The weather tonight is going to be dark, continued mostly dark with widely scattered light in the morning!
😂
Hilarious!
Love the humor!
Weather is used to figure out what you're going to do the next day. Hopefully.
