    The amount of time I spent on Sierra adventure games when I was a kid is crazy. I didn't have access to cheats and very few friends that played them, mainly because very few had computers those days. So I would spend months on a game. King's Quest 3 took me about 6 months, but still my favourite, probably because it was the first one I played. Enjoyed playing all the Space Quest games. Also played all the Police Quest games, but found them harder and wasn't as entertaining. Still a lot better than most other games you could find at the time.

    OMG so much nostalgia in one video. Sierra games were played a lot when I was growing up. I also really loved the Laura Bow series, though it was only two games in that series.

      Sierra made outstanding games indeed! Though Police Quest 1-3 were the first adventures for us, and PQ3 was especially a big deal, I have to admit that Laura Bow II was arguably the best.

    I remember playing these on my ol dos machine back in 93...born in 89. Now here I sit just playing re4 remake on a 4090.....it's insane how far we have come in technology. What's wild is one day today's games will look old and dated. Hell I remember the 1st Crysis and thinking that was it, it couldn't get better and guess what.....the 1st crysis now looks pretty damn dated.

    • @SlideRSB
      @SlideRSB ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It didn't. Those scenes were shot just for the promotional reel. As disingenuous as it is, it was standard practice to do things like show footage not part of the game and add sound effects to game footage.

    • @arkadyshersky8704
      @arkadyshersky8704 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SlideRSB Nothing disingenuous about it. It wouldn't have occurred to anyone at the time that a computer game could do anything like that. (Frankly, it's ridiculous that someone even today thought that games looking like *this* would have video at all.) The live-action footage in this tape is there to spice up the presentation, nothing more, and is obviously understood as such.
