Watching this video of MEU massive field training exercises is mind-blowing, the logistical support is high quality. It'll be a sight if MEU's get an order from their Commander In-Chief to commence a amphibious landing on Taiwan beaches to defend the Taiwanese people against the Chinese forces. The exchange of fire would be nonstop, let's hope that doesn't happen. Cpl. Cano Honorably Discharged U.S. Marine Corps Veteran
For today's MEU not sure. As far as being selected, a Marine should have completed secondary infantry training. Then maybe stand-tall in front of a board of MEU commanders to review that Marine's SRB (Service Record Book), and a Marine's MRB (Medical Record Book). Various questions will be asked of that Marine. If the Marine is married, or married with children. Will his family fall into economic hardship if that Marine is KIA. After the questioning is complete, the board will determine an approval. Signing up kind of falls in what I just explained. For accurate answers to your questions, call your local Marine recruiting office. Cpl. Cano Honorably Discharged U.S. Marine Corps Veteran
