I have purchased a 5 pack of similar styled survival bracelet, got a great deal at 6 bucks total. They work. Compass and whistle, firestarter and paracord all are serviceable.
There is always someone b1tching about those aqua tabs. Dude, just buy the tabs and your water container. Let the rest of us enjoy this product for what it is.
The moment, when you need a knife from inside your survivalkit, to open that survivalkit which is sealed........so dumb. But in addition to another litlle kit not that worse.
I am a paracorder, paracordist, whatever word you want to use, and have been for about 10 years. I've made hundreds of bracelets, belts, lanyards, leashes, etc., but I've never made one of these, and don't think I ever will. In my opinion, which doesn't mean much, this is impractical. You could carry these few items, including the cord, in a small tin which would work much better, and be much more accessible. As for the quality of the paracord, it all depends on the manufacturer. I have purchased 550 cord before that turned out to be cheap, Chinese junk.
I really like how you are realistic in your evaluation of kits and your ways of improving them are actually sensible.
