  • This was a fun one. Sure it's a tutorial on how to tie a survival paracord bracelet, but it's also a great introduction into why you might even want to bring one. Essentially, this is a fun basic skill to get you into working with paracord and if you have kids, it's a great thing to do with them. I hope this video is enjoyable to watch along with.

    My 1 1/2 year old found one when we were geocaching. It was the perfect size for his wrist and he loved it. He would get so upset if anyone removed it. I just watched this and made him a new one. I love your glow in the dark looking cord! He would love a glow paracord bracelet!

    Hi, I would like to Thank you so much for your videos. I finally learned how to make a Paracord cobra stitch bracelet. Doesn't look perfect, just need to learn how to keep the knots tight. But it's a big step for me. Thank you.

    That is great Rob. Really well done. Maybe a bit more on the uses of paracord would be practical, but super well done.

      the *uses* of paracord would be a topic for another video (good idea! maybe there already is one? I haven't yet searched high and low on the the StoneAgeMan channel, but I'm thinking about doing so)...the video above of how-to-craft-a-survivial-bracelent is very well presented, so I might check out the channel. i love that a dude is CRAFTING!!

    Quick question, what size bucle did you use for this bracelet?

  • @Veptis
    @Veptis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Well, I guess I have to read the book to figure out how to undo it and redo it in the wild using the shorter ends.

    If you have a normal wrist how much rope would you have like how long?

    • @UntamedScience
      @UntamedScience  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Normal wrists are between 6-8 inches. You need about a foot of cordage for every inch. Starting with 10’ means you’ll have plenty.

    Can this technique be used to make a “ Survival “ belt? With idea that you’d actually have more cordage if needed. Of course then you wouldn’t have a belt to hold your pants up, so kids only try this at home .

    I do the same thing with my keys! In fact I added an extra buckle near the key ring to be able to quickly detach the keys while leaving the carabiner and the rest of the lanyard on my belt

    how do you change colors after the first knot

    • @UntamedScience
      @UntamedScience  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There isn't a ton of force on the paracord so you can just melt a new color on and continue tying.

    Dude , I was fallowing along to your first bracelet I was doing pretty mediocre to but then out of nowhere. You change it up to a totally different bracelet pattern then it had 3 bright green laces drop in the middle and a black was also used . It was nothing like the original. I had to start over useing someone else's video ! FYI maybe I'm not the only person this has happened to useing your content I think you could divide up the different bracelet into separate videos and then u might be ok js ..ok good day.
