On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

I wanna see a total chaos fox 2 fight. 3v3/4v4 or more all loaded with high off bore missiles.
Great video as always! Would you consider bringing back the TacView analysis at the end? It was awesome getting some more analysis into some of these fights like speeds during certain maneuvers, etc
FINALLY some fighting against superior ratefighter
also shows really well that doing guns only against superior ratefighters is pointless but guns and missiles is doable AND tense and fun to watch because both parties have a chance and plane that is inferior in rate can capitalize on mistakes.

@@welcomb You can see a third person view at 12:22 that really helps in understanding what GS did.
My interpretation:
The F-16 bandit expected a two circle fight and flew the two circle; in essence he set his and held his pitch and probably lost situational awareness again.
GS, being the pro he is, was able to identify this behavior early by the bandit "not maneuvering against the enemy".
Around that 12:23 mark, GS takes a small vertical while the bandit makes a horizontal half circle. Less then halfway up, GS reverses and inverts back towards the bandit, "cutting the circle" by coming up over and cutting through the bandit's circle.
It's really freaking clean.
@@icebolt0864 That's exactly right...with the 15s power he went vertical and cut the bandit off...great maneuver!
However, if I were Charlie in Top Gun, I would have said it was risky and don't do that 😆
I still can't wait for Top Gun Maverick.
These fights now feel like pro sports - being better matters but the margin is often relatively small, so suddenly victory is also critically dependent on “he who makes the fewest mistakes.”

This really shows how good of a pilot GS is. Outmaneuvering a Viper in an F-15 is not an easy task after the updates, yet he still manages. Lots of respect!
The Viper may have it's fangs now but the Eagle isn't without it's claws!

That last kill was really cool. I liked how you knew exactly what he was going to do, and, rather than responding in kind and playing to his strengths, did something he completely didn’t expect and made him pay for his own predictability.

There is definitely something about the eagle that I prefer over the f16 aesthetics wise at least. I just wish they gave the eagle leading edge root extensions like the hornet.

They didn't call it air superiority for nothing. It can probably still outrun most everything in the sky except the blackbird and f-22. It does go vertical faster than a saturn V rocket.

"You gotta maneuver in relation to your bandit" is right up there with "You never leave your wingman."
Seeing 2 aircraft meant to complement each other go against each other is always a great thing to watch, helps one understand what to do and not to do

It also could've been a glitch where the pilot is dead and cannot interact with the cockpit but still can see out of it. Sometimes happens in older aircraft and mods.

Love seeing you more aggressive in the Eagle, flying it the way it should be. You've definitely improved in that aircraft, and the F15 series aircraft are still fit for royalty among these 5th gen fighters.
Your play-by-play calls and analyses really make your channel outstanding! It's better than an old Dogers fan listening to Vin Scully call a game! And your knowledge of your own plane and your bandit's plane show how you can tip the game by playing to your strengths and the bandit's weaknesses, and waiting for that one fatal mistake and being ready to capitalize on it. It's what Red Flag and Top Gun are all about. Always a great listen!!!

That maneuver by the Viper to avoid missiles and guns was what's technically called "pulling something out of your ass" in a pinch lol. All jokes aside, it's been a long time since I commented on one of your videos. That was one hell of a maneuver to avoid getting shot there, this video was entertaining. God I love the Viper, one thing though, I hate cashing in my speed, I'd rather rip around another circle and see where you are when I come out, fox 2's negate that though.

Great content, as always! I'm very curious how the Hornet would fare against the updated Viper in guns only engagement. I fear that if the F-18 doesn't kill the F-16 in the first turn then it's game over for the Navy bird...
Well I feel like with the Hornet you could do something very similar to what GS does in the second fight with the Viper where you pull them up to your six and then force and overshoot where the F/A-18 would have a huge advantage since now both aircraft are very slow and that's where the Hornet fights best.

Hello! Can we please get a video where we see both perspectives on the same dogfight? For example, in this video ot seemed difficult to you sometimes to shoot down that Viper. But you did, and it would be very interesting and fun to see how the other pilot reacted to those moments.
That was probably the most enjoyable WVR DCS fight I've seen.

I never get tired of seeing the Eagle in action. The F15 is sleek, sexy, and powerful. It just does it for me in a way nothing else does. And with a pilot like GS, it is truly to be feared.
We need a bandit unknown video with the F15, I would pay to see the performance of this plane against other planes. I personally like this plane, a little bit more than the MIG 29.

lol Definitely needing that IL2 WWI or II career as well as the F-104 Starfighter Bomber Intercept mission/MIG-21 interception-prevention mission. I love the dogfights, but I feel like something different from the norm would definitely spice things up.

The f15 in my opinion is the best starter plane and my favourite plane. Takes a while to master but when treated right can compete with the big boys.
Duno, I would say the Su-33 is better because its proving carrier ops, air to ground armament a HMS and high of boresight missiles. It als will teach you (the hard way) to learn all the defensive maneuvers, tactics and behaviour and it challenges your situational awareness more. This all will give you a better start whe you get a full fidelity plane.
With the F-15, you only learn how to employ the Aim-120

Ejection seat won’t work! Famous last words. The F16c is an insane fighter. The speed and turn rate is outrageous. Is the update even close to reality? If it is, it is a very potent machine.

@@Asghaad that depends on how you mean. It is turning a bit too tight when you are AoA limited and it is bleeding speed too quickly then as well (as you would expect if you are turning too tightly). I have a video up about it.
