On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. Shotgun really puts on a helluva show in the Flanker, and I love how GS was down to party a bit the way the Flanker was meant to before finally needing to rate fight.. that was awesome to see

Got into DCS a month ago because of you and chose the F-16 and it is awesome. I originally chose the F-16 because of the amazing bubble canopy view, but I ended up loving it for it's speed. I've played a lot on your server and feel I am getting decent at BVR, but I know next to nothing about dogfighting. There is so much to learn, I can't wait to start dogfighting myself! Great videos!

You should do some with standard load outs rather than slick. I was a crew chief so the pilots wouldn’t share all the details with us but we had our vipers merge with Russian fighters a couple times over Syria in 2016 and our guys were always outfitted with 2 bags, ecm, sniper, HTS, standard A2A and gbu 54’s/39’s or 38’s/12’s.
wouldn't they toss everything the moment the other guys become hostile? just curious, or do they actually go through a few turns carrying everything while trying to figure out each other's intentions? what a terrifying scenario that must be.
@@TexasGreed I would assume they would jettison stores but the only time I’ve ever seen stores punched was from an inflight emergency where he was overweight and separate mechanical failure. Had a dude at Nellis dropping BDU-33’s and when he pickeled off a Smurf turd the left wing tank and pylon went with it 🤣

Was really struggling against the J-11 in the dogfight arena, guy kept forcing a low merge and I certainly didn't have a counter for it.

With such a capable airframe, I'm surprised that General Dynamics haven't looked at a thrust vector capable engine for the F-16.

I’ve been trying to work on my f16 dogfighting for a while, but really struggle with throttle control/energy management. I think it would be really cool to see a throttle and maybe stick overlay so we can see exactly how you manage a fight so well. Love the videos!

Is a squad dog fight ever a thing that might happen? The 1-on-1 dogfights explain and demonstrate the capabilities and limits of the planes but how much does that carry over - also would be fun to demonstrate and see some tactics like the Thatch maneuver. Thanks for the videos!

Your partnership/rivalry with Longshot is now the stuff of legend, and I hope it continues ______(add request for more Two Morons content here)_ , but I understand that Longshot's channel has grown exponentially, as has yours, so it probably is difficult to match up schedules. Man the gun kill slowmos are so satisfying!! (It would be cool if the damage model included at least a generic "shattered canopy" model for these situations, ie when you fill the cockpit with shells.)

Well, Flanker is a heavy interceptor, so it's not surprising he'd have a hard time against a smaller, nimbler plane like the Viper.
Also fc3 modules don't have realistic flight performance

Hi man, I have a question. I'm in the army but I don't know anything about air combat. It seems like the fundamental premise is about angles/geometry and getting your front to the enemy before he can to you so that you can engage weapons. So why don't aircraft have some sort of turret launch-rail system such that missiles can be fired in all directions at any time? It would completely solve the turning problem. Is there some aerodynamic or technological reason why that doesn't work? Thanks
I imagine the potential weight of that sort of system would be detrimental to performance, and the aerodynamics too, a pylon swivelling around at the sorts of g force those planes experience might rip something off

I wanna get into the DCS but i live in turkey... so that means i cant afford a good PC for DCS. and second, only F16 costs 1.5k Turkhish lira so that's a LOT considering to our salary per month (10k). I have 2000-2500 hours on flight simulators but sadly i cant get into dcs for now.... wish me luck guys. i hope i can enjoy with my F16 on DCS one day :) I love watching Growling Sidewinder

I can't help but mention that if the AF had bought the XL aka Cranked Arrow Falcon, I'm not sure if the J-11 would even be close. I mean... The XL with four decades of refinement and upgrades? Not to mention, how much better would the F-22 and F-35 have been with the pressure to outperform that thing...

nice one. Would you Dogfight against one of my DCS mates? He is very good in the Mig29 and beats me everytime. Im not a good Dogfighter but he is extraordinary good at it. We both fly in DCS for several Years. I was focused on Air to Air while i was the ground Guy. Would be very sweet how you deal with his skills.
