I just love that lil giggle he does right at 30 secs after James Burton does a lil funny gig on the guitar. Elvis is & ALWAYS will be adorable to me & his smile is to die for!!! No other man like him, never ever will be!!
Yes he did. Had excellent taste. He would have a huge stack of songs and by the tone he got to the bottom of it they’d have about 5 or so songs. He was very picky. He even would practice a song to perform ten times then decide he didn’t like it and would say NO I DONT LIKE IT. lol never to be seen again.
This is absolutely the case. There are only a few small mistakes I've noticed. I don't think he should have done "Blueberry Hill", simply because he did nothing to improve on Fats Domino's version. Elvis USUALLY improved covers substantially. "Hey Jude" was a really bad choice for him. A very awkward song for him to do, and it was not a great recording. "When I'm Over You" was just weak and weird lyrically, and I'm surprised he ended up doing it.

I love watching these clips. I watch my Thats The Way It dvds nonstop. Next have to get the rest of clips myself. I really enjoy watching him work hard but natural with his band. By eye movements or hand movements like he just did. One thing I enjoyed was watching James the whole time. Hes like me when I talk about elvis to people or watch him. Just fascinated & cant stop smiling. This movie really showed the eye contact those 2 had with each other.

I have some of this rehearsal on vhs tape titled "Elvis: The Lost Performances", and it's toward the very end. Really awesome to see the King in his natural state while rehearsing. Just awesome footage and am thankful someone was there to capture moments like these with the King on film. I wish I could get ahold of some of the bootleg footage out there, I'm sure there's alot. Especially considering how much was hidden from public eye to keep his image "clean" back when people didn't understand that Elvis was just a human. Thanks for the upload, I love stuff like this

The beauty of it is that his voice had such range and depth that he could choose any song he liked. Whatever it may be, it was always wonderful.❤
