    For anyone that has followed the massive amount of testing with SP Racing when the gyro was switched to ICM years ago, knows that it performs very well.
    When I was racing regularly I was using the H7RF FC very successfully.
    The only gyro I had an issue with was the BMI. In testing one batch had a tracking drift of 30 degrees per 720 degrees of rotation. I stopped using them because of this. And never gave them a second chance.

      ICM gyros are also more sensitive to unstable power delivery. Some FC manufacturers did not do their due diligence when switching to ICMs and that caused issues for some people. Not really the fault of the ICM gyros but it gave people a bad taste for them.

      Very true, I tested a few poor implementations and while I was able to fix all but one very rare and obscure AIO with the simple addition of a small tantalum capacitor, I shouldn't have had to do this.
      Everything has been very good for quite some time now. But you are very, very right on it leaving a bad impression and scaring people away.

    You can honestly run the safer LPF and keep a spare SDFT dynamic notch and the ICM is still going to absolutely party. A slightly safer D-Term DLPF and a little bit less D gain, and they'll run on slightly delaminated frames in that configuration.
    The real key with the ICM-42688-P specifically is just getting clean LDO power to the things, and Carl did great with that on these.

    For anyone wanting the actual command: set gyro_hardware_lpf = experimental
    The ICM can be quite spicy so apply with caution and check your BB logs

    so, I looked through datasheets of MPU and ICM gyro, didn't know invensense made both, uu nyuw lol, and from what I see, setting the static lowpass to ~250hz on the ICM fc is basically adding a betaflight software filter that equals the MPUs hardware filter all the way open at 256hz (with a range of 5hz to 256hz), but the ICMs hardware filter can go from 5 all the way to 3979hz so it is possible to make the ICMs filter respond the same as the MPUs filter, though for that I would like to see a betaflight cli command that just sets the gyros filter frequency, no presets, no nothing, just a number :)

      I think if anything the dual band Gemini stuff would be worth considering. Just so tough to beat the CRSF reliability

    What motors using on this current rigs? The motors affect the gyro noise? I mean, one brand motor it's more noise like other brand motor?

      These are five33 black series motors. Certainly damaged motors can cause more noise but most brands produce very quality product out of the box

      @ awesome. Limon does show the raw gyro but not the downstream effect of how much difference Dterm the quad will tolerate (and subsequent difference in set point tracking). Also, he doesn’t show how it looks with banged up props like you guys did. His comparison looks closer than it has on prior ones he’s done, so HDZero may have really done a good job getting clean power to the ICM.
