Hi, I also found this video in the link on your high wind video. I’m glad that I did. I just ordered a mini 3 pro yesterday from DJI at it's launch. This will be my first drone. I am a commercially licensed fixed-wing, glider, and free balloon pilot plus I shoot still photography professionally (currently horse racing). Even with this background, I find challenges in learning remote controlled aero video photography stimulating but sometimes overwhelming (and not having the drone in hand to practice with is not making learning easy). Really great video, I’m switching from the Mavic 2 Pro to Mini 3 Pro due to UK regulations etc and so wanted to learn more about how the DJI Fly app worked. Only thing I would say is that I wouldn’t recommend flipping the drone to stop it when hand landing, it puts extra strain on the motors which isn’t needed. I generally hold my hand underneath, then push down on the stick to land it directly into my hand, keep holding down until the motors stop, as if it were a normal ground landing. Other than loved the video and very helpful.
+1 for landing in hand and pressing down on thumb stick to land. It shuts the motors off almost immediately and dont risk catchin your wrist with a prop too.

@@Dcrainmaker Oh, nice! Starting out with the 3 drone. Cheers.
Thank you so much for this! Just ordered one for myself and am super excited to become proficient with it. Honestly, one of the things I'm most impressed with in your video is how well it's handling the wind and how good the gimbal stabilization is. Given the fact the wind is quite audible in your mic, I'm assuming you probably had 15-20mph winds that day while you were recording. I'll be interested to see how it does in my own usage, since I live in Utah and it's relatively rare to have a calm day out here. I won't use it on any crazy wind days, but I'm very interested in learning this new skill... Plus, I'll need to learn another skill with video editing. Fortunately, I'm already proficient in photo editing, but it's cool to jump head first into a new realm!
Fantastic breakdown on all the features, especially the different modes. You really go into depth while viewer see where & how to find everything you cover. We use our drone mostly when on the boat, thus catching it is the logical choice. Is there an option to RTC (Return to Controller) instead of RTH? ⚓

Hey Ray, I recall that you a long time ago tested active tracking while you were skiing. It wasn’t really successful for the drones at that time. Do you think that the Mini 3 would be a useful drone for skiing and snowboarding videos with the active tracking option?
Thanks for the great video
Yes, in side or rear view. Sports mode. Only thing is, no side to side avoidance sensors on the drone. But it will track you to 60km/hr.
@@R00RAL Great, thanks. Too bad it can’t track you from the front view. I hope also that the drone descends at the same rate and doesn’t keep the same elevation
@@vanik67 i have not received my drone yet. Acend & descend I will look into, I believe it does. Perhaps someone else who knows could comment.
I'm planning on buying this drone today from DJI and I wanted to say how helpful your tutorial was for me. I will probably watch it 5 more times because you covered so much info in such a short amount of time. Thanks, I'm Rod from Southwest Florida and have been involved in pro photography for nearly 50 years and now am only a hobbyist and want to hobby some more with a drone.
Does the remote controller record audio. Your audio is very clear.
Fantastic breakdown on all the features, especially the different modes. You really go into depth while viewer see where & how to find everything you cover. We use our drone mostly when on the boat, thus catching it is the logical choice. Is there an option to RTC (Return to Controller) instead of RTH? ⚓
controller does not have builtin gps ?! :)
I lost my Dji min 2 in the mountains.. Picked up a DJI Mini 3 pro.. thank you so much for the video. So many new features I did not have before!
Sorry to hear about the Mini 2, but enjoy the new one!
Probably one of the best reviews I've seen on this product. I've been wanting a drone for over a decade, and with my motorcycle and car hobbies, I think this is perfect..
Thank you so much.
Dude, you are blowing my mind. Just had an itch and 30 min later charging a mini 3. Now trying to imagine the possibilities. Thanx 4 t vid.!
Thanks for the tutorial. I bought my DJI Mini 3 Pro about 6 months ago, stored it and now I am on a tour of the American mid-west and this tune-up was great. A little fast in some areas, but great, so thanks.
She just came in today although this is my second time watching your full video and she's not even done charging so I'll probably watch it again awesome job.. thank you!!
Exceptional… felt like a pro drone operator after watching your vid. Saved a lot of time and possible headaches learning to fly. Thank you very much!
Brilliant video, thanks. I now want a mini pro 3 ...and a windmill.
Very good most helpful. Would have liked to have seen active trac tested at higher speed but think I know what the result would have been
I typically do my landings by hovering about 4' high and while in flight reach in behind by the battery area for a hand GRASP landing. Great video's with tons of info. Flew over 1000 miles on my mm2 & 300 miles on my m3pro
Thank you very much, you definitely have pedagogic skills based on the way you explain the material so that it is simple and to the point. Kudos and greetings from Kyrgyzstan!
Absolutely brilliant video. I have put off purchasing a drone for my sports photography for the past year due to my lack of knowledge of how they work, but by the time I reached three quarters of the way through the video I was online purchasing a mini 3 pro. It will of course take practice before I'm confident to take it out to a sports event, but I have a great tutorial to speed up the process. Thank you very much from Ireland for the benefit of your knowledge.
This is possibly one of the best explained video ive ever watched on youtube
You have no idea how helpful this is...I purchased this drone as a beginner and I was completely lost..
Now I feel more confident, thanks
I am most impressed on how stable it is with all the wind
purchased my first Mavic pro 6 years ago. Just got the mini 3 pro today. This video was still very helpful. Thanks. Good refresher.
thank you....filmmaker editor about to buy a drone....mini 3 i think
Greetings from Texas. Just received my new mini and will test fly tomorrow so seeing this video today was perfect timing. I’m sure this will greatly help enhance my first experience. Thank you for the work put into this. Take care and stay safe
I'm a DRONE Newbie. I keep on coming back to this vid to learn about my drone and the remote control. Thanks for doing this for us👍🏼
I'm watching this video for the second time. There's just too much good info to digest it in a single view. I don't have a nice drone yet, but the Mini 3 Pro looks like a great option. Thanks!
Just picked this drone up to film our travels while living full time in a diy camper van. For it for $589 at Best Buy. This video helped out a TON and haven't even unboxed it yet!
I love your Videos and the in-depth guide.. I watched your go Pro 10, and 11 video before buying it and now doing the same before buying this drone.. Your tips and tricks do help out alot when handling our devices. Thank you so much..👍👍
Where is the "LOVE LOVE LOVE" button? My friend, I just got my Mavic Mini Pro 3 this morning and wanted to watch a tutorial before flying for the first time. Your video was simply perfect! Engaging, well explained, full of details without being boring or redundant... A perfect 10/10. Thank you so much for this video, that was, AMAZING! I'm so excited to try my drone now :)
Bloody beaut video mate. I have the Mini3 Pro and still learned things I didn't know it could do. Well done, thank you. All the best from Sydney Australia.
Great video ! Am going out for my first flight with my mini 3 and this has got me confidently ready !
Great video! Thanks so much. I just bight my Mini 3 Pro upgrading from a Mini SE and right after I ordered it I had buyers remorse haha but after watching this video it eased up haha. I enjoy your videos please keep it going specially for the Mini 3 Pro and Mini SE. thanks again great video.

@@Dcrainmaker well done!!!
This video is incredible, I am getting one of these drones and I felt like I took a full class on this. Love it.
Thanks!!!
I just bought this drone and had no idea of what it was capable of. I was looking for longer flight time. Thank you so much for this vid I am even more excited to get the drone and start flying her.
I had my first flight today, I put the little sponge thingy the gimbal came with, so silly me, I forgot to remove it and flew the drone.. landed it and saw it on, pulled it out straight away and continued with the flight.
I’ve had my drone for a year now and because of this video the confidence to take my first official flight!!
Purchased mine today. Absolute novice. This is a fantastic introduction, thank you.
This year I have been practicing with a new one. I have been flown that without instructions, but you have gave me amazing tips for improving when I will go to fly that again. Thank you so much for sharing your content. You got a new follower :)
I get my drone on tomorrow and it is my first. This video has helped me understand already. I will be viewing it a few more times I'm sure lol. Thanks
Outstanding instruction. My Mini 3Pro comes in tomorrow, I feel very confident now that I have a good understanding of its features. Thanks!
Thank you for this great tutorial. Never realized the drone had so much more options on it. Happy Videoing!
Dude you’re a badass. Thanks for putting your time and energy into making this. Very well done
I just bought the DJI Mini 3 Pro and it is my first one. Great tutorial! I plan to revisit this video a couple of times so I can assimilate as much info as possible. You did cover lots of material. Thanks!!!
I just got my Mini3P, and appreciate this detailed to the point video. I have gained confidence and understanding by watching your video! I also watched thr informative Mini3B vs Mini3P. Keep it up!!
Thanks a lot; its a super clear "beginners guide" I went flying this weekend after unboxing without seeing this and this tackles all my questions for now.
Excellent video! Watched every second. Mini Pro will be delivered in just a couple days. Thanks for posting this.
Sitting anxiously waiting for mine to get delivered today. This is great, thank you!
Thanks for the video. I just ordered this drone so now I'm set. You have helped me immensely with bikes, trainers, and now drones!
