I got the individual releases. Couldn't afford the big set. Same with the Latter Years I'm hoping they get individual releases. But the Early Years is a MUST have!!! I haven't stopped listening to these sets since I got them nearly 2 years ago. I can't get enough!!! I love early Pink Floyd!!!
I have this set and have really enjoyed working my way through it. All the memorabilia that comes with the set i find interesting if somewhat useless. However its all good fun and lots for your money even though it was expensive.
Thank you, Paul ! That was very informative and helpful. I really wished Pink Floyd had made Vol. 7 Continuation available separately for those of us fans who can't afford this expensive but cool box set. That was knuckleheaded of them to do that move.
I agree. I just tried to look if anyone had Continuation for sale somewhere, but no such luck. There's no way I'd ever be able to buy the whole box, and it would be quite pointless today as all the other six volumes were for sale in my local record store. For a couple of years, I only had Cambridge Station as it was for me the most interesting of them all. But all's not good yet, Deviation wasn't in stock so they ordered it and it should arrive in a few weeks. Reverberation was sent on the 27th of December, and it's still not here. I'm worried as the Finnish post office does a lousy job nowadays, packages get lost all the time, and when Obfuscation arrived when I bought it before Christmas, the envelope which it came in was completely broken, with two corners torn up and the box set inside exposed. The record store can't obviously give a refund if the post office fucks up and loses my Reverberation, and the store don't offer a tracking option with shipping... But if the missing two volumes DO arrive and I finally own them all, I'm counting they all combined cost about 220€ (those with one cd are 29€ and 2cd are 33€), it's not exact of course and I added an estimate 25€ for shipping. I know it's not the same thing without the replica singles etc, but excluding Continuation, the audio and video is all there with these bought separately and an affordable price. How much you guys have paid of these using the same method?
I’m glad they still haven’t released the 7th volume individually and it is still specific to the boxset keeping something special for those who bought the whole thing. I’ve been revisiting this box since the release of the new Later Years box.
No you think you want it but you don't really. Not until you buy the bloody thing. You open the box and go quickly through the memorabilia. Talking photos as you go along. Then you repackage it. Put it back in the delivery box and watch it on youtube:-(
The bonus set has BBC radio sessions in a very inferior quality to what's available on bootlegs. For example, 'Pow. R. Toc H.' has an early fade out, while a complete version circulates! And 'Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun' sounds as if recorded through a telephone, almost no bass frequencies, while a relatively much better copy circulates (with bass frequencies and more treble frequencies).
It is in there (on the Blu-ray "1971 Reverber/ation" disc if I remember rightly) but doesn't appear on the disc menu so you have to hack it from the disc itself.
You probably dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream all the new movies on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my brother lately =)
the bad thing about this box is the fact, that the stereo mixes of the BBC 1971 recordings sound worse than the mono mixes on the inofficial BBC transcritption vinyl ...
i just wanted a decent recording of return of song of nothing and there is only the songs we have already listened more than billion times. there's only two or tree new releases... all other is the same but with effects, its a shame.
You gotta love Pink Floyd there music gives me wonderful chills everytime i hear them play on stereo
Incredible Collection.. I had never seen these pictures.

It would take a lifetime to digest this object of musical beauty
I heard it took one guy 3 solid weeks to go through it all.

This is the best box I ever saw good English cero mistakes.
I shouldn't have watched this. Now I want that lousy thing even more.

Can you make this copy of 7 available to me? I searched all over the internet and it's not in any torrent.
did you know something about the Meddle 5.1 mix that it's included (hidded) on a disc from this boxset?

@Atticus Langston Definitely, I have been watching on InstaFlixxer for months myself :)

How much you want for volume 7?
I have this deluxe box in pirate. Fantastic edition. Pink Floyd weren't THE BEATLES. However, they made superb music too!!
Hey man, how big is the box roughly? Just want to know the dimensions
Spettacolo!
It's funny how Pink Floyd makes More money for each box set than most prog bands in one year
There are fake box sets of the early years? How about the individual ones? And, how I can recognize if it this a fake one?
If it is a*
They CD s are available individually in mini album sleeves. I think they're pirate copies.
Isn't life a little short for over-the-top packaging like this?
No.
👍

Tengo esto en pirata. Excelente calidad. Excelente contenido.

So it's a para-box of sorts
