I appreciate everyone that’s tuning in to watch me tell my story it was rough but I never gave up this situation actually helped me I learned so much about the system and about different laws
When I was about 16 a friend and I was riding our bikes home. We saw some police activity, as if they were chasing somebody. I told my homeboy let’s turn around and go the long way home, he didn’t listen. The police snatched us off our bikes, made me sit and watch while they threw him in cuffs, and in the back of the police car. We waited for them to bring the victim to ID my homeboy, thank god the victim didn’t pick him out, because the police didn’t wanna hear our alibi.
This is crazy‼️This man was in a whole different state & STILL got indicted. There's no "justice" for a black man in this f*cked up system. As a black man, there's already two strikes against you. 1. for being black and 2. for being a man...I have a 13 year old son and I pray for him daily. I hate this happened to you 🙏🏽❤️
Crazy story, you really have to be careful how you move in this evil world. Don't even trust your family. I was almost caught up in in a situation a few years ago and no one would of had my back because of what I was being accused of. I couldn't even tell anyone besides a close friend that knew what happened. Much respect to this young man. He is very strong and has a great Spirit. Enjoy your life but also remember that the law can kidnap you at anytime if they really want to. Stay safe and stay alert 💪🏾🙏🏾
Dude you couldn’t have said that any better. “You are judged by the friends you keep”! Although those weren’t your exact words. I’m so glad you were able to prove your innocence.
Our Black Men are still in high demand. For the school to prison pipeline. This is sad 😢. Brothers, please stay prayed up 🙏🏾. The system is against all of us POC! So if you find yourself in this place. Support your brother. Don't fight him.. We can be our own worst enemy. 🔨 And I understand when you're cagged like an American Animal 🤬 because this is America. It will drive you to this. Stay prayed up. 🙏🏾 please teach the youth through your experience if possible. I send my love & continued prayers 🙏🏾 Thank you both for sharing your experience. Pray aloud in every room. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill every inch of your home. Pray that only His will be done and that everything that is said and done in your home will be pleasing to Him. Plead the blood of Jesus over each room and your family.
I was bout 15 when one my first altercations with police happened where i was " mistakenly identified " & beat up ,and the harassment continued long after !!!
They goal was to get my to plea guilty so I won’t sue but once I got it dismissed I still couldn’t sue cause they had probable cause from the line up I got picked out of they force the victim to pick me out
@@Bankstop_tv& it was no way around that? You lost 2 years of your life and didnt even commit the crime not to mention you had just got a job. You weren’t even in the state when it happened. It should definitely be a way around that where they have to pay you some type of restitution.
They was saying it like this…hey we didn’t make a mistake the victim picked him out told us what he did and we made the arrest the whole case was a lie victim never came to court the statements the victim made didn’t make sense saying we went to school together when I’m over 10yrs older then him
@breakbeatmedia it was Terrible. Ohio ended up dismissing the case because I couldn't have been in Akron and Cincinnati at the same time... I was 21 pregnant lost my job cuz of this too. Then had to spent 5k for a lawyer...over something I didn't do! It's crazy 😔😮💨. Yall if you ever lose a ID report it!!!!!!! That was my down fall. Someone stole my identity. Went up north in Ohio to Walmart and cashed several checks using my ID!!!!!
This guy has such an amazing attitude with all what's happened. Manners & respect to him, I hope he got compensation for the time he lost in jail but I fear that might not be the case since he said couldn't sue cos of being picked out of a line-up?!
I know it’s crazy. Should be able to sue since they held him even after he proved he wasn’t there and what about a speedy trial. Years he was held. That is a lawsuit.
So refreshing not to hear a lot of foul language in this episode. I'm thrilled that he was exonerated from that nightmare. Just one thing, the interviewee is a strong, intelligent black man; he needs to leave that area since it's obvious he's a target. I can appreciate that perhaps the family is there, but his freedom is more important! GET OUT! We don't need a repeat performance of what happened in 2016. Also, he needs to start monitoring himself again.
Now she wants to offer the world, because she wants the conviction! She also knows you were an innocent man. She wasn’t offering anything bc she likes you!
I get the fact that he was picked out of a lineup, but he should still be able to sue considering the fact that the DA knew he wasn't there but still decided to prosecute him. She had video evidence of him being in North Carolina at the time of the crime but she did what they always do, which is try to get him to take a deal because he wants tonget out even though he know he didn't do anything wrong.
I'm from Camden, new Jersey. I did a bid in 2010. Wrong place wrong time. It's a ying and a yang to it for me. The universe placed me there to show me the in and out. Needless to say i never been the fuck back.
With Kalief Browler incident i cried because it wasn’t that he couldn’t afford bail he had no bail initially they lied his bail was $1 i believe he was wrongly convicted and mishandled by the system.
That’s the thing he was never convicted they sit us in rikers for yrs just to go back and forth to court then next thing u kno it’s Been 2-3 yrs that went by they got time out of us and one day u come to court they wanna offer u time served like it’s ok to cover up they mistake
I hope he move out of NYC . This story is so familiar with my family. Being stalked by the nearby precint smh. We had to literally drive my cousin to Alabama to get out of NYC like overnight for being targeted for the last night smh.
We had a guy here in Dallas that did 18 months for a speeding ticket. He kept getting lost in the System. It took that long for everything to catch up...
This is nuts. They pretty much rounded up some guys and tossed them in jail. No evidence, no explanation, NOTHING! Id love to hear the other guys story as well. But damn just makes you think of how often this happens, and we have no clue. Same stuff they used to do to black men back in the day. Your skin color was enough to make you guilty. Justice system rarely serves justice and even more rarely take accountability for their "mistakes".
One of them beat it also before my case was even over he been got his dismissed he was in Long Island at the time only 1 plead guilty cause he was there but wasn’t involved so basically 3 of us beat it 1 plead guilty
I sure hope you were compensated for what they did to you. It truly sounds Malicious to me. Especially from the District Attorney! Especially since they had the evidence that you couldn’t be in two places at one time!
Sad to hear but the system and some of the powers that be are corrupt. Great advice on the pix. They r supposed to close rikers. Wonder whats taking so long. Smh..😮
Not at first I didn’t get a bail till over a year later I was remanded Then my bail was $100,000 then when I got the daily news involved the judge lowered it to $50,000 Then I made bail but I already had almost 3yrs in by then
@TrappinAnonymous my head all fucked. I knew they be jerking niggaz (pause) but damn!!! They had all the fucking evidence to know bro wasnt even there. Fucked up hearing this shit.
Please follow @trappinanonymous on Instagram and DM if you have a story that needs to be told.

I know it doesn't take away from the trauma, but sorry you had to go through this, and thank you for sharing your story. 🙏🏿

When you go to jail. You really find out who your real friends truly are!
I just got offered a role in a movie similar to this mans story. Gave me a lot of insight on character prep.
It’s crazy
Thats crazy, goodluck on the movie!
In New York you have to prove where every dollar comes from to bail someone out.

Not mentioned he’s down south swiping a card at Walmart. Him on camera purchasing items but they didn’t wanna let this man go smh
