I’ve heard that so many times. Each time I hear it, I am filled with questions: do you not read it because you just never got into it? Because you generally just don’t read comic books? Do you dislike having to read backwards? Is it the tropes? Just.. Why? Tell me why! Please bro, why?
But seriously, I believe good storytelling transcends the format in which its told, so with that being said, I also believe there has to be at least one manga for you out there. And hey, maybe you'll find it in this video!

Monster was a recent discovery for me and Urasawa as a whole, and I can’t describe the effect his books have had on me! Love them all, but Monster is special haha

My coworker loves dramas and psychological shows. Told them about Monster. They said it sounded awesome....and when they found out it was an anime their interest immediately dropped 😢

I started my love for manga by reading Monster and I am 52 years old . Manga has me in a chokehold 😂So yes there is something out there that will bring those who has never read manga to find the love for it.

I see manga as the main sell when it comes to the whole anime manga thing. Merch to me outside Asia is only starting to grow in terms of attention among the public if one considers the official stuff outside specific franchises like gundam or items like figurines.The whole anime adaptation is a giant ad to get people to keep reading in my head.

Sometimes you’ll watch an anime and think “hmm this feels like a fun condiment to the manga experience” lol tbh anime is slowly becoming so giant and high production though that some series are better enjoyed via the anime. Seldom is that the case but it’s more frequent than before.

Drifting Dragons is such a underrated series and the art, characters, and story is so amazing. I got into manga by reading this manga called Love in Focus and that's how my manga addiction started.
