Hi Brandon Thank you for your inspiration, guidance and excellent spray art tutorials. I have been spray painting for only a few weeks since watching some of your spray art tutorials. I did not think that I could have produced this sort of art work before. Thank you again.
+Kevin Aldcroft hey, I really want to start pray painting but i like to know what i need. or the basics besides obviosly sparypaint. like the brushes or rhe tools they used to make the circles and stuff.. thanks
imdanidays Hi imdanidays I have only been painting three weeks now so I am just learning. I use A3 size 300 gsm (grams per square meter) Glossy coat board. I have an assortment of basic brushes eg, fan brush, fine point soft brush, fine point hard flat brush etc ( a cheap set of 25 brushes). Ordinary dish washing sponges that I bought from the supermarket. These are used for the texture of trees rocks etc. A couple of different sizes of plant pot water dishes (local hardware or plant nursery) for my planet stencils. Pallet knife I bought on line as part of a set $5. Glossy magazine paper and news paper for textures of rocks or planets. I keep our old magazines and use them (women's weekly, National geographic etc). I also have a small set of 24 tubes of oil paints. You can buy these at any art supplies. These are used when I want a small amount of colour (color). You can mix small amounts of different colours together if you are really keen for blending. If you spray clear gloss onto the oil paint it will thin the paint even more and makes application easier. I also have a wooden platform with a post attached at the base so I can turn the board instead of the painting. The board base has a draw attached so I can store my paper stencils and brushes. Hope this helps Cheers
what kind of spray did u used? is it only for drawing use or we can juz buy any spray paint ..? sorry for broken english hope u understand what im trying to say😅😅
I love making space paintings, I did several over last summer, and since I ran out of black back in august I haven't made any more. Watching this made me want a fresh start, and practice planet surfaces.

This picture was actually completed half way through the video, but he just spent more time increasing the price of the painting. This is a masterpiece... to me!
I saw the moon right away, but it took me until 3:13 to realize what it was he was making. Once I realized I was blown away by the detail you could pick out in it. It drives me crazy how you begin your work. Great great work.
when i was a kid there was a man in myrtle beach SC that used to do this on the boardwalk live about 10-12 years ago ill never forget that because he inspired me to pick a can up
OMG These are awesome. I am amazed with the amount of detail your able to get with such simple techniques. I realize that your making it look easy, but still, wow.
I love your work. This is the coolest thing that I ever seen before in my life. You make it all look so easy, but I know it is not that simple- if you never done it before!
damn that looks awesome i just did my first space painting for an art project it came out decent i enjoyed it, was alot of fun most people thinks this is hard but it is really simple when u try everyone should try this very fun hobby
My god people... just stop arguing... if you really wanna show your immaturity, continue... I think that this is a new and unique way to create art, it might not be fine art or anything like it, but I like it nonetheless because of the idea... you just gotta chill, respect things for how they are, just forget everything and just live in the moment...
These kind of artists you can find in my hometown for entire season, from june till august. They have couple of places in the towns harbor where they create magnificent pieces. Not that much expensive. 30x30cm for around 10 euros, 50x50 cm for 20 euros and biggest they made (without special order) 70x100 cm for 40 to 50 euros. Awesome stuff.
watch the video again, and pay attention to what colors he sprays where. The trick to spray painting is layers. You'll see him put a color down, then completely cover it with another color. Then when he uses the piece of paper, he's pressing his fingers down and creating the outline of rock formation, and the paper is removing some layers of paint to reveal the bottom layers. That gives it depth.
They make it look like they don't know what they're doing when they spray all over the paper, but they actually do and it always turns out A-M-A-Z-I-N-G =)
You can use clear coat to soften it up if it gets sticky. You can do this for the signature too. The waterfall is a poster board with white spray paint on the edge. I am trying to master that part of it and its so hard. So far, I have gotten as far as the moon and the sky lol
very good. can give a tip? one artist to another. the black around your moon is took dark. it needs to be closer to the color of the sky around it. not the same color but closer. just a thought
very nice, you're very talented. bought a wonderful space scene from a lovely gentleman in Dublin Ireland some 4 yrs ago now. if that was you, we would love to have you back and see more! :-)
@orlyhousesoccer First time I've seen things like this but I think it's the layers of colors he does. You can see the colors he puts before hand and when he uses the magazine, some of the paint sticks to it and some does not. Whatever sticks is from the top layer creating a neat affect. I'm not sure if he really slides it though... if any it's just a little bit.
@Daft2e I don't like your attitude, I'm not going to say this is the best art work in the world just because I like it but it takes skill just like anything else. This isn't "shit" just because it doesn't follow your sky high views as to what art is. While I admit that it seems that spray paint art is generic many artists have gotten around this by developing different techniques, breaking free of your narrow minded confines of spray paint art. If you don't like this art, show us yours.
that is totally amazing... but what baffles me is how he made the rock cliffs. It looks like he just rubbed paint off a piece of paper onto the canvas. Amazing!
Okay being able to do this is fantastic but seriously can you imagine the amount of badass points you earn when someone asks you how long it took and you reply with 5 minutes?

I love how in like 30 seconds, it goes from globs of random colored spray paint to something amazing and extremely recognizable.
This picture was actually completed half way through the video, but he just spent more time increasing the price of the painting. This is a masterpiece... to me!

sheer bliss to watch your painting unfold. great work. god bless

I just had a little picture of paradise in my mind, so tranquil.
tranquil?
Hmmmm
Hmmm
What is that?
it's all in my own world, hard to explain with words !!
They make it look like they don't know what they're doing when they spray all over the paper, but they actually do and it always turns out A-M-A-Z-I-N-G =)
It seems a reoccurring theme to have a "Jupiter in yo face" size moon in the backround in many of these spray paintings......still amazing.
Stunning, so inspirational.....want tp paint, paint and paint.
I totally want to to buy one! thats a good combination.
Stop, omg. This is too amazing.
i want to cryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... beautiful art!!!
