those houses along the river probably have septic tanks that are connected to a sewage pipe that goes to a treatment plant.. the squatters in manila do not have these because they are illegally dwelling on government property. thats the difference.

Been to surigao many times, and there are alot of rivers there that is super clean. One time we passed over a river connecting to the ocean that the waters starts from the caves and it was underneath a road. There are also alot of slums there but still the waters are enchanting.
I think plastics are not the problem. It’s the irresponsible users and the lack of proper and effective waste management. One simple thing e.g. the garbage trucks they are using are not the standard garbage trucks. Most common they use dump trucks which are open and no compressor. Plastic bags are still allowed in Singapore which is very strict in implementing cleanliness. This is also the same in your home country Kyle, Canada, up to at least 2 years ago when we visited the beautiful Niagara Falls and they used plastic bags on our purchases. This is also the same in the US where we put our trash and garbage in a plastic bag and dump them in a plastic garbage bin. They collect them every Saturday and Wednesday without fail. At least 3 countries that I personally know plastics has never been an issue. This is not a personal opinion. I’ve been to Canada, I’m now in Singapore and I am permanently residing in New York. Thank you.
It is though, but also as you've said our attitude towards it exacerbates the problem. Only few plastics get recycled to date, even developed countries don't have the proper facilities to properly process plastic. Those they can't recycle, they burn for energy, which we all know is beneficial for our air quality. Funny because you mentioned Canada, do you still remember a few years back when they shipped tons of their trash to us? That's an awful practice many first world countries do not just Canada; Korea, Japan, USA, UK, Australia etc. (basically name a rich country and you're most probably right) ship their garbage to poor countries. Did it seem like they have no garbage problem? It's because they pass on the problem to third world countries. Singapore on the other hand has their trash island. But the problem just doesn't end there, plastic is never eco-friendly even when recycled. In fact, about 80% of the microplastics in the ocean come from our clothes that made of polyesters, which are usually recycled from plastic bottles. So yeah, unless a new form of bacteria or some plants or fungi evolve to metabolize or process plastic, the best thing to do for our environment is to use less of it.
truly respect..what an amazing and beautiful community there clean peaceful with clean water lagoon paradise and i notice really the good discipline of people there especially living near the river not throwing any trash not like in other places keep it up barobo surigao well done!

Bayaran lahat ng nakatirang ayaw ng idevelop ang house nila at yung mga gusto idevelop pautangin ng governmet para pagandahin ang bahay nila para pwedeng upahan ang bahay nila ng mga turista or bayaran ang buong community at idevelop to a world class one of a kind tourist destination.

Been to surigao many times, and there are alot of rivers there that is super clean. One time we passed over a river connecting to the ocean that the waters starts from the caves and it was underneath a road. There are also alot of slums there but still the waters are enchanting.
Beautiful place.. The people there so protected the nature.. The water is so clear.. I luv the pepople there so nice!!
Thank you.
They just banned plastic bags in Victoria Canada last year. Proper trash disposal is definitely of massive importance as well
It is though, but also as you've said our attitude towards it exacerbates the problem.
I love how people takes care this Precious One.. hope you guys keep it clean and precious...
truly respect..what an amazing and beautiful community there clean peaceful with clean water lagoon paradise and i notice really the good discipline of people there especially living near the river not throwing any trash not like in other places keep it up barobo surigao well done!

They have so much respect with Nature. Im so happy how they clean it well
They have discipline in our nature not like in the Manila Bay and pasig river
I'm actually 40 mins away from barobo and this is my friends hometown, so whenever we wanted to go to swim, that bugac is our first choice! Very cold and crystal clear water. I'm glad that you actually explore barobo, there are lots to discover in that majestic place. Hope you can visit cabgan also. God bless!

Awesome place , and great local people who preserve the cleanliness and sanctuary of Gods gift...I salute 🙏
hope this place will be preserved and maintained... flock of tourist can create a big change in that community and thus will destroy the eco system in the river.. i guess thats how pasig river died..

I love those people taking care of our wonderful nature. 😍, it shows that its not the reason why rivers were polluted because someone living beside there but beacause it is actually the attitude and the loving care of the people of the nature., thats why it makes it even more beautiful. Two thumbs up lab u fillas!
@2:23 I first thought you slomo replayed when you jump from the ground but surprisingly it was not and it's just the bottom of the pool.

Bobby SierraCo Please do not destroy the pristine place with tourists. Let it be. Let the local, care takers, take care of the land.
Yes so that thay can help the community financialy. But as Kulas said...as tourist, you must be responsible of your trash.

So many people are jealous of this place and people are lucky of this place because they are deserve. They must be proud of it on how they preserve on it. Enchanted River in Borobo wow
Want to visit this place when i have enough money, thankyou for sharing this with us tho im a filipino and doesnt know this place lol. You earned my sub thankyou 🙂
This can be better than the famous Giethoorn of Netherlands. kasi ang giethoorn d malinaw ang water at maliit lang ang water way pero ang stunning landscape and community but itong Borobo natural ang landscape at amazing pa sya kasi malinaw kahit nasa middle ng populated community na pwedeng pwede pang idevelop. Bayaran lahat ng nakatirang ayaw ng idevelop ang house nila at yung mga gusto idevelop pautangin ng governmet para pagandahin ang bahay nila para pwedeng upahan ang bahay nila ng mga turista or bayaran ang buong community at idevelop to a world class one of a kind tourist destination.
Leave it that way tignan mo boracay na exploited
Super Tabi Poh😂 well thats my country💖
