Those so-called Nerd Analytics don’t take into account true shooting percentage. They don’t take into account the strength of the conferences they played in. LeBron never faced Kobe in the playoffs.
San Antonio gave him a taste of what that would have been like

They go off numbers.... And there's things statistics just can't explain. I don't care who u are... When Kobe was on the court... THERES NO WAY YOUR SAYING SUCH AND SUCH HAD MORE SKILL THAN KOBE. It was always obvious that Kobe was the best man on the court in any game. I think they hate because how long Kobe's reign was.. society always wants something "new"

I was born in 92 and my dad made me a basketball fan in 1998 and I have seen many great superstars, I'm not doubting that Jordan is the 1# player of all time and I'll give it to him all day even tho I started watching him by the end of this career but honestly the best basketball player i have ever seen and I hardly missed his games was Kobe Bryant I watched him early in his career and even after the 3 peat the way how he would dominant teams and players and also he was an assassin in the clutch, he would always give 100% every game and played through many tough injuries , even a 1 on 1 ? Kobe all day, so there will never be a more dominant player in my eyes than Kobe Bryant heres my list of best NBA players watching in my time
    1 Kobe Bryant
    2 Shaquille Oneal
    3 Vince Carter
    4 Allen Iverson
    5 Dwayne Wade

I swear I didn't come across this interview before, but no my respect for Uncle Shay just went into the drain. He is just another idiot looking up stats and numbers. LeBron ain't no winner, which reflects on his 3-6 record. A lot of people say LeBron has a better playoff record and clutch record than Kobe, but I'm curious how many of them would actually choose LeBron to carry a team into the 4th quarter, 10 points behind the opponent, as the only star on the team in the playoffs. Shay questioned whether LeBron had any teammate like Shaq, my question back to him was did Kobe have a DWade and Bosh caliber player together with him AT THE SAME TIME and still lost in the finals, somehow. Another question is would LeBron cope with the pressure if his best side-kicks were injured/fouled out like how Kobe handled it when Shaq fouled out against the Pacers? You give LeBron the Shaq Lakers team and he might not even 3-peat, you give LeBron the Gasol Lakers team and he most probably would not repeat, might not even win any championships.

Listen they keep saying lebron is a better all around player right? Ok first of all u cant make that argument when both kobe and jordan play a smaller position then lebron where their primary objective was to score. Both kobe and mj could pass the ball and get boards but thats not what their job was. There role with phil jackson was to score and play defense in the triangle system. Lebron just had the freedom to do what he want. If phil gave kobe and mj the green light to do everything then they would but it wasnt needed. Put kobe and mj in this current league with their teams and all people would be saying is kobe and mj on a collision course to meet in the finals. The players in this league has the luxury of not having to deal with grit and grind defenses and has the freedom to do what they want. But the majority of these players wouldnt even be in the league had they came in around kobe or mjs time. Players now get injured without having much force put on them, imagine what it would be had the league been the same as kobes time.

Totally agree that after Colorado, the league cast Kobe aside, ignoring his hardworking and how great he truly is. Another point what media don’t mention is the impact after Jordan’s success. His inspiration made the competition harder in the 00’s era because of the expansion of the base has upgraded to the whole world. More kids dedicate themselves to basketball and the sparkles of talents are way more than before, and Kobe is still the best guard in the league at that time. Hence he has definitely been disrespected.

Kobe was the player who made the most out of the facility he was given. He's been on the record saying he's only about 6'4" not 6'6", his athleticism is basically a B grade by NBA standards, and he's neither strong or quick. Throughout his career he just outworked everybody, and not by a little. He drilled his footwork, studied the game and his opponents, and systematically went about wreaking havoc. He's the most skilled player to ever play the game.

It was a light work out and some what of a showcase but Kobe wanted to stand out and let us (his peers) know that he was something special. He made me fall in love with the game everytime I watched him play, I think a lot of us took advantage of how special and gifted he was and now watching today's basketball reminds us. There will never be another one.

While nba players base on their experience they can tell who is better they can weigh who they can guard easier.. Shannon point at 14:27 makes no sense lol. After Shaq left, in the 2005 season the lakers were going gonna make the playoff, then the coach resigned cuz of cancer n they were left with some one who never coached successfully.
In 2006, they lost to the suns who were running the league at that time with Nash, amare’e, joe Johnson, Omarion. Other than Kobe, the lakers had Odom n Caron butler.
In 2007, the lakers ran into the same full suns team but this time the lakers traded Caron butler so the only relevant laker was literally Kobe n Lamar.
In those years, the lakers had guys like kwame, mhim, smush Parker, Brian cook starting lmao.
Then you look at the west, it was always stacked: suns, Spurs, mavs, nuggets, Seattle (Ray Allen n Rasheed Lewis), Jazz (dwill, boozer, ak47), rockets (tmac, Yao Ming).
On the East in those three years, only the pistons, cavs, and heat were consistently good enough to make the playoffs in the west.

The difference between the West and East back then was in the West you needed at least two superstars to reach the finals but the east you only needed one.
