    Is it just me or this video seems a little off not like my other ones? I don't even know how to explain it. Washed-off? Like the color intensity is really really low? I've looked at the original and it's not at all like this. Guess something happened with youtube video processing :( I hope you guys can still see it ok.

      It seems as if your camera is having trouble focusing, I could be wrong. I could see the pixels of the image in the video for some reason. The part with the pardo jade piece with the crystal-like pieces did show however

      The camera was fine. It's not the first time the processing affected the video quality, I did a search online and it happened to others too. The video looks fine in the original, before uploading, it just seems that at one point in processing for part of the video it got that weird effect. Oh well. Nothing I can do about it.

      Love the video but really hard to see the quality.

      @@grownupgoth I know. I had very poor quality camera and no lighting when I started. That is why I redid a tutorial on how to make faux jade. Check my playlists and look in the "Faux gemstones" one.

    Thank you Kalyana, I enjoyed this tutorial and learned a lot. Have you ever used Cernit polymer clay? Looking forward to Sunday's tutorial, blessings

      I tried Cernit but it was so much trouble to condition, and I didn't like the smell. Didn't like how it kept the detail either. But that was when I was sculpting OOAK dolls, didn't try it since. Thank you!

    I like them all. What colors of chalk did you use?

  • @marystoddard9138

    Is it me, did I miss the chalk colors to use?

    • @KalyanaDesignTutorials
      @KalyanaDesignTutorials  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you did. Look at the part where I scrape with the Xacto knife, I am holding the little pieces of chalk pastels over the piece of clay, you can see the colors. Essentially they're hues of green, some ecru (one more towards ochre, one more towards brown), it's hard to give a specific color because there are so many brands of chalk pastels out there with so many colors.. The kit I am using isn't even manufactured anymore, I found it at Goodwill for 75 cents :_
