This was a nice run with a few good clips of traffic-free riding on one of my favorite backroads. This particular recording doesnt really capture the dynamic sound range of the exhaust, so it's time to upgrade my audio capture setup! To Be Continued...
Great sound, I'm usually not so impressed with an i4 compared to a twin cylinder configuration. You have any idea about the sound decibel level? Just wondering if it's obnoxious
Thanks. I'm not sure what the sound level is, but I may try to measure it and make a video in the future. It's pretty loud, but I ride with ear protection so it's not overwhelming for me as a rider.
@@motomaddox right on, that's actually pretty helpful. Been a while since I've been on my bike but I also where hearing protection. Sounds manageable 👍
🔥🔥🔥. I didn't hear any pops and bangs! Did you delete the cat and block off the AIS? Regardless of what, that bike sounds good! Next month, I'm going full Leo Vince on my 2022 Z900. Nothing ground breaking but I'm excited! The flash will be done along with the exhaust.
Thanks, I appreciate the shot out. The pops and bangs are definitely in full effect. The little lavelier mic has a hard time capturing the full audio spectrum though, so the pops are a bit muted in the video. It is a full system, so the cat is gone. I didn't do anything else though, so there are no block-off plates and it isn't tuned either ( at least not yet ). You're going to enjoy that full Leo System when you get it!
@Moto Maddox gotcha. That makes sense. Even good audio doesn't do any justice to get the full experience with the sound of the exhaust. I appreciate the videos man, and the feedback. Be safe out there 👊🏾.
👌How a proper sport bike should sound. I have a black widow headed with an arrow thunder slip on. Little larger canister than your MIVV but similar sound. What do you use for sound recording?
I agree, this is the sound I want from my inline 4. Thanks for the comment! For the mic/sound, I used a GoPro Hero 8 with a PurplePanada lavelier mic. This is my motovlog setup and the mic is usually in my helmet. For these "pure/raw" sound videos, I'll run the mic from my helmet mounted cam to a location under the pillion seat. I'm thinking of adding some gear to the setup so stay tuned.
