Performing the test:
Screw the four electrodes (two thread sizes - no possibility of incorrect assembly) to the electrolyzer.
Prepare two vessels (non-metallic) with liquids for testing or comparison (e.g. water before and after filtration).
Place a set of 2 electrodes in each vessel.
Plug the electrolyzer into an electrical outlet and switch the switch to the ON position.
After a few seconds, you can see the electrolysis process and the precipitation of impurities.
After 30 to 60 seconds, turn off the electrolyzer, then you can recognize the type of impurities based on the color of the precipitates.

The meaning of colors during electrolysis:
Yellow: dissolved acid, fluoride and other organic contaminants
Green: arsenic, mercury, lead, copper, sodium
Blue: bacteria, viruses, carcinogens, chemical fertilizers, pesticides
Red: iron, rust, bacteria
White: lead, zinc, mercury, other inorganic contaminants
Black: heavy metals
Electrolysis is a phenomenon of changing the structure of a substance after applying an electrical voltage. In applications related to water treatment, this phenomenon is used to illustrate substances found in water (dissolved in it). Using an electrolyzer, it is possible to demonstrate the presence of electrically conductive elements in water. These are substances capable of ionization, i.e. disintegration into ions.
In a somewhat simplified way, electrolysis allows you to demonstrate the presence of contaminants in water. However, it should be taken into account that some of the elements found in water are not harmful to living organisms and are even recommended for them. Therefore, electrolysis of tap water cannot be treated as an indicator of its chemical purity - electrolysis can only show that there are substances in the water that have nothing to do with clean water.
The electrolyzer is equipped with a set of two pairs of electrodes (anode and cathode), which allow for the comparison of the purity of water in two vessels at the same time. In a typical application, one pair of electrodes is placed in a vessel with tap water and the other pair of electrodes in a vessel with water from the RO filter.
Note:
When using, be careful, do not allow children to perform electrolysis without adult supervision.
Place the electrodes in the water before connecting to the socket.
Do not use metal vessels to carry out the test.
After turning on the power, do not touch the electrodes or the water in which they were placed.
After completing the test, clean the electrode with a dry cloth.
