@Hel V Just finished the final episode last night...I know it’s a fictionalized account of real events but let’s pretend that heated argument actually happened exactly as we saw it...Charles really thinks he and his family would have actually hugged those children?? What a joke...there’s a reason why she’s the People’s Princess, she’s was still human first. And by no means am I saying she was the innocent angel in all this either, she knew how to use media to her advantage, but good grief sometimes being cold to preserve some stupid royal tradition is just ridiculous to an outsider.

@@soapiesoap5649 Very true. The production commented recently about why they didn't show Diana's wedding in season 4 or Anne kidnapping attempt in season 3. They explained that the Crown centers exclusively on the Queen and only shows events that have a lasting effect on her. The avalanche in season 4 isn't shown because Charles was briefly missing but because it impacted Diana and Charles marriage and the third chance Diana's willing to give it despite the Queen revealing she knew about their affairs. Without that effect on the Queen the avalanche would not have been mentioned either.

@@romangysse3690 funny because you’d think your daughter been kidnapped would be a pretty big thing... He originally started writing this because of his fascination with the young queen as most of us have grown up not really knowing her as a young women (at least those in that age group that would generally be watching Netflix). I feel like though as the seasons have gone on we kinda know that queen and I and I’m sure a lot of people would like to see more from other members. Maybe there will be spin off’s due to its huge success which would be cool.

@@soapiesoap5649 Honestly I think it's partially an excuse for things that just doesn't interest him. If you look the Margaret episode about the hidden part of the family Elizabeth is barely in it. So I think "we keep the show centered on the Queen" is an excuse to justify no including some things. Diana's wedding might have been too long. Anne kidnapping attempt might have not fitted in any of season 3 episodes, etc. As for a spin-off... Season 4 was the most depressing one to me, sinister at times. I'm not sure I'd want to watch more. Diana's life really looked miserable and seeing it in more details will not make her story happier. :-/

Her ability to compassionately humanize and raise awareness for the causes she championed. Admist the turmoil of her personal life she gave millions around the world a shining beacon of how to live a public life like hers with as much grace, diginity and poise as she coulld muster while still being a loving mother to her sons and a champion of human rights, common compassion and decency to others. Breaks my heart to see Diana’s victimisation. True Charles and Camilla loved each other and they should have been together from the start. But instead they put up a show and involved and destroyed a beautiful person. It was so sad when Diana approached Elizabeth and the latter chose to feed her pets than give Diana a comforting word or hug. It filled me with anger at Charles’ hypocrisy as he went on with his affair but blamed the breakdown of their relationship on Diana. There never was and there never will be anyone as compassionate and beautiful as Diana. The Royals didn’t deserve her.

She had a husband who loved another older woman then herself. Who took her to lunch to rub her nose in it. Sad behaviour and in-laws who where all cold in nature. The royal household was no better.
