- The actress Ruth Madoc was surprised by Eamonn Andrews in November 1984 for the television programme This Is Your Life.

Her episode was aired on the 28 November 1984. The Choir she mentioned was Bargoed male voice choir.
Sad news, Ruth died just after Christmas last year! Back in the 80s when she was Gladys Pugh in Hi De Hi, she was probably my first crush lol. She was 79 at the time but definitely didn't look it, she always was very glamorous.
