My favorite knitting supply storage came from Five to Six Handmade! All of my interchangeable, circular and dpns are perfectly organized! And I just love the beautiful posey pattern. They're a little pricey but the craftsmanship is amazing. Her items would make a great ask for your Christmas Wishlist!
@ I just looked her up and she’s totally sold out! I just got the Knit Picks winder set that’s on sale for my husband to give me for Christmas! P S I found the website. Lovely stuff. Thanks for the tip!
I third this! I LOVE my Five-to-Six IC needle organizer 😍 It is just the right size, and so well laid out. I had the extra slots for shorties added inside the two zip side pockets, and there is ample (but not too much!) room in the middle of the bag for your cables, notions, rulers, etc. So everything I need is easily at hand!
I would absolutely love to go on a knitting retreat or cruise! But the cheaper option is books or perhaps magazine subscription. Love the peppermint twist knitting needles by the way.
Hi Tanya I just watched a video from Sept 1 2022. It was about knit chaser cables knitting101 best tips. The laugh was in the background is a man standing behind your manaquin. All you see is his arm. I read some comments not anybody mentioned this. So funny how patient to stand there all that time.
I got an interchangeable needle organizer from Five to Six Handmadefor my birthday this year, and I love it. It's not cheep, but is so much more organized and compact than anything I've tried in the last 16 years. I got the organizer for my shorties added in so it holds All my ChiaGoo needle tips in one place. As for this year's wish list: more books, some cute needle stoppers from Fox and Pine, and more row counters from Twice Sheared Sheep.
Someone else mentioned Five to Six and I am in LOVE! Those look like the perfect way to get all the needles in one place instead of in their separate bags.
I recently got a color work yarn subscription from Sweet Meadow Knits. Each month I get 3 new colors of Jamieson's Spindrift yarn and a pattern. It is like getting a surprise gift every month.
I received a catalog from Knit Picks in the mail and it had a free pattern for a beautiful scarf. The suggested yarn was on a fabulous sale price so I will be knitting a scarf for my next project
I'd like a knitting project journal. I usually list my knitting, sewing and crochet projects in a simple notebook, adding a few details like needle size, start and finish dates. It looks very untidy so I'd like something with sections for me to fill in information and have it neatly laid out for future reference. 🎁
Highly recommend. I started using a general craft journal just this year and love it! I tend to make multiple modifications to most projects and hate to have pieces of paper patterns floating about. It's been amazingly convenient to be able to write out my mods and have them all in one place, especially for things like socks and gloves. I left a few blank pages at the start for an index section too, and am updating and numbering pages as I go.
This year I have added Addi Rocket Squared Interchangeable needles. The arthritis in my hands are getting worse and I read about square needles that help with this. I tried a couple of sizes of the fixed Rocket Squared and they definitely helped with the pain. And since I love, love interchangeable needles I immediately put these on my list after knitting both a pair of socks and a hat.
I need storage solutions. I have so many interchangeable sets as well as fixed circulars and some straights and dpns. I really need to organize my yarn as well. All of your suggestions are great. New subscriber here. Congratulations on being a Master Hand Knitter. That is one huge accomplishment! 😊
I would like a better way of storing my stash. It’s neither huge nor disorganized, but it is in bags, so it’s less tidy than I’d like. OTOH, I don’t really want someone else to organize me or my stuff. I guess I’ll have to figure this one out myself
I would like to have a nice storage solution for my yarn (I accumulate yarn faster than I knit) for my front room that is a combo of my living room, my office, and craft area. Kind of like your cube shelves with the baskets. Also a standing lamp to go next to my recliner so I can have plenty of light to knit darker colors.
I was on Knit Picks last night and when I saw the 50% off sale for the swift and ball winder combo, I immediately informed Santa Claus! I second the recommendation for the Lemonwood mini-minders: I got mine as a birthday gift a few months ago and love it. Santa gave me Laine Publishing's 52 Weeks of Chunky Knits book as an early present, possibly because they want me to knit them something? 😅
I adore both of my Knit Picks wood needles IC sets. I have bought the coated steel swivel cable sets to replace the standard black plastic cables that come with them though, and now enjoy them even more. Also, through the holiday season Knit Picks has a free pattern download weekly! I love a good DellaQ bag too.
I just tried out some of those swivel cables and they are great! I didn't realize I could just buy the cables (and now I'm off to add those to my cart!).
Highly recommend Twice Sheared wrist yarn holder. I have the Lemonwood and it's beautiful but I've been unable to find a way to prevent the yarn from wrapping the spindle and thus doesn't unwind. Plus I hate that it doesn't sit flat on a table/counter when I'm not use it. I do use my Lemonwood with a purse hanger on my tv table. Just can't use it as a "portable" yarn butler.
I love my Lemon Wood mini minder. But watch out when buying, there's a ton of knock-offs out there, and they are terrible in quality. Sadly I've seen only knock-offs at every yarn festival I've been to this year.
@NerdyKnitting I bought mine online (my local yarn store don't have the large an assortment) that's how I know. I was bombarded with web stores offering them at suspiciously low prices.
A few days ago I found a bag that was almost the same design as my dream bag, but the price blew my mind. I have a soul resonance with kislux . It taught me that beauty doesnât have to be expensive, it just has to be right.
What's on your holiday wish list this year?
Please please please do a video on organisation! I'm always interested in how people organise things, as well as what products they use!

I just looked that up and I LOVE those bags! I have been looking for something to organize all my needles - this might just be it. Thank you!!!
I also use her needle organizers and love them!

I'm with you on the cruise or retreat - that sounds fabulous!

I’m really in need of some sort if storage for my fixed circulars

That's one of my favorite catalogs to get in the mail!

Agree, I'm always going "off pattern" and need to log my mods accurately.
A video on storing our knitting stuff would be great!

I'm so glad you found something that works! It's interesting that changing the needle shape can help relieve the pain.
That tub is like a gigantic pasta strainer!
Haha - yes it is!
I would love yarn to make the Flower Garden CAL afghan.

I definitely want more interchangeable needles! :)
I would love to have more yarn 🧶 and knitting needles

Ohhh, those peppermint needles! I just bought some spin cycle..spent too much!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Don't forget you have to buy the 16" cable separately, as it doesn't come in the set.
@@YukonRoseinLV Thanks for the tip!
#1 on my list, time and I've been good this year so...
My list Miss Babs gift cert,

I think I may go down the rabbit hole of yarn holders now - I didn't realize I needed one that could sit on a table! 🤣
hi i always enjoy watching you
Hiya Hiya sharps!

Thanks for the tip! I bought mine from a yarn shop so hopefully it's the real thing.

Someone to get my yarn room in order.
