A "Do it Yourself" campfire forged squirrel cooker - using minimal tools. A squirrel cooker is a handy item to have around the camp for cooking and heating water. I have used regular charcoal on many occasions for forging. I have never tried using a chimney but I would say it would work if you can get the metal down into the coals enough. Good idea! Will have to try it sometime.

you can do this with sticks and soak them in water before cooking for the most part I couldn't find a metal bar out in the forest!

Great video! I have been wanting one of these for a while, I end up making them out of wood in the field. I had no Idea they could be forged so easily with regular tools and a campfire. I have to get on making one these.

I saw some regular charcoal in your fire pit. I wonder how a one of those chimney charcoal starters would work to heat up the steel. I know when I use one there is a hellacious amount of heat and red hot coals concentrated in one area. I bet that would make the steel heat up a lot quicker.

if you would have blow tube I of some kind I've used a pithy type plant or use a brake line steel of course but blowing with that tube around item your trying to heat up will make the fire hotter faster it would have saved you a lot of time good video thank you I will be making me one just to have have a good day
