I have a chin spoiler off a 6R4 with COMPUTERVISION livery on it. It was knocked off a 6R4 on the North West Stages Rally on the Fleetwood stage a few years ago. I did contact the team to ask them if they wanted it back, but I never got a reply. Metros were shite, but the 6R4 was epic. They sound amazing.
Senna had a Ferrari dino that when he died his wife donated to bands hatch or Silverstone , it was a 250k car then without sennas name to it and was deemed more priceless with his name attached . It was so valuable we had to change the workshop insurance just to house it a few days and that was early 90’s . Would be nice to know what became of it
Had 52 miles when he got in it, did another 50 and returned it with 52 miles showing. Will probably always show 52, even though it's got a couple of thousand on it , lol.
Beauty! I wonder if this works test car is actually one of the 20 built for competition or a regular 200 one with the international package? Fabulous anyhow.
This car was a standard clubman spec 6R4, which was Austin Rovers 6R4 press car. Most magazine articles from 1986 and 1987 feature this car. The cars changed loads in spec since Austin Rover sold it on and done loads more than 52 miles. Very much triggers broom.
Friend of mines dad had C800EHU, works car that was crashed and rebuilt with another shell but retains works title. It's been sold on but still competing at club level I think? Lovely car
have owned 2 Metro's - if you think building a time machine out of a DeLorean is outrageous, building a rally car out of a Metro trumps it all day long.
Its 6 injectors not 8 it's a v6 4wheel drive hence 6r4 just so you understand that it's the v6 engine that is rare as not many cars back in the day hardly any manufacturers made v6 it was more often straight six or v8 so that engine was limited production specifically for that car😁👍
best sounding group b car ever made.
Imagine driving Senna's 6R4 and how it must feel! Absolutely top drawer content
What a treat.. Lucky son of a gun.. careful not to crush it best Christmas gift ever !
Awesome. When i was at college in the 80's, one of lecturer's had one of these. It had crowds of students whenever he started it up.
What a criminally underwatched vid!!!
This channel is pure gold. So many cool cars.

You were both taking a risk, not wearing ya seatbelts lol.
Rich people don't think they'll ever die
Dream Group B toy and it would a smile on my face too. Looking at it and seating in the drivers seat. Let alone drive it. 👍

Your not on about a Dino ,they was cheap crap till recently .I believe your talking about a 250 GTO ?
@@ThomasDoubting5 I think i remember it well as my nickname is the same . I doubt it was a bog standard car Ferrari gave him.
Hello!!!!

Many thanks for sharing.

Omg that makes all the right noises
Metro and Renault 5 are the Best Looking Hatchbacks in there Rally Form. Surprised more people have not brought these cars.

Mint video lads 👍🏻
Pleased that despite the very low milage it is being used. How many miles does it have now?

The whine from that gearbox is just epic

Gud vid 😍
How many miles were on it after your drive?
You lucky lucky boy... unreal. ❤❤
love it
52 miles lol
We rallied this car when Peter Llyod owned it I have many pics of it on events
@rsmith8875 yeah I have pics etc we did 4 rallys in that car
All about the click bait 😂
52 miles on the clock before the test drive, and still only 52 miles afterwards...
What hp does this particular 6r4 produce
Want the compomotive rims 😮
I was lucky enough to drive one of these way back when, scared the poo out of my pants ...
The Nova Senna drove was also driven by Colin McRae I have a scale model of it
Not Senna's metro, just a car driven by Senna. Clickbait BS
And 52 miles on the clock 😂 done more than that on one rally with one of its previous owners 🙈
where is your seat belt !!!!!
Wow had no idea senna drive rally

Surprised you didn't get pulled over for no seatbelts and no MOT, what a car though
Or tax and on a sorn
Could the police catch it?
Why no seatbelts being worn and no tax or MOT - did not look like private roads an could not see trade plates!?!?

Love to see the Getrag Escort.
Gartrac?
@@Tivver That too! 😁
It's a belter of a car. If I mind right, it's a GAA V6 Ford engine.
Build One, you know you want too 🤔😉
Further more it's a gear stick, not a shifter!
seat belts/ harnesses not required!
Just send it ffs
