Facts! Super quick on delivery too! I ordered blue halo daytimes for my flush mount and they accidentally sent amber..I called and they sent out the blue that same day and told me to keep the amber. They will get all of my mods!
I’m not sure if you know about this Jaye. But the best mod you can do next is an R6 throttle tube. Saves your wrist from having to twist that stock R3 throttle all the way down to get to speed. R6 throttle tube will get you to top speed in 1/4 turn! Also, easy install (from what I can see in TH-cam vids) and about $30! Good luck! And sweet bike! Getting a 2019 R3 in this same color scheme. 😍
Great point about other countries!!! I'm looking at an r3 currently because here in Denmark I won't be able to buy a bigger bike before I'm at least 22, so I would keep mine for 2 years. So mods make a whole lot of sense. And great video!
I have a 2015 R3 (white/red). I got most of my mods (flush mount signals with halos, integrated tail light, fender eliminator, signal relay) from TST Industries, as well. They are a great bunch. I developed a grounding issue that caused my right-hand flush mount to not display the halo. Found out the ground was in the tail light. They sent me a new one for free even though it was well past the warranty period; I just paid for shipping. Great products with great install videos on TH-cam.
Honestly your R3 looks so sick. One of the best R3's on TH-cam. Forgive my English if you find it funny. And whatever you have done to your bike looks great and YOU feel great that's the best part. People don't consider any bike less than 600cc as bike. A motorcycle rider never cares about what motorbike he is driving. Those people who talk crap own a bike to impress other's with their inline 4 exhaust sound that's it. Anyways brother you Stay Safe.
Very beautiful bike man. I'm possibly looking at getting and r3 soon (first time bike rider here) and yours definitely makes me want it even more now. I love what you have done to it
I literally wish to copy your bike, looks so enjoyable; also owning a Big bike is tired and more expensive, this size looks just clever to me. Greetings and blessing brother 👊
There are always gonna be critics. Whether you have the R3, Ninja 400, or whatever low CC bike. Do what YOU want to do to it. Like Jaye said, do what makes you happy. If people don't like it, screw them. Not everyone is looking to do triple digits on the highway and become a target for state troopers. Plus, the R3 is capable of going well over 100mph.
In other countries there are smaller capacity bike like R125 and R15 which are considered to be entry level sports bike and in our country we never considered R3 as a small bike , it got enough punch to outran 600cc and a litre bike since we're in a hilly area , btw Maxwrist even got outran by R3 you can find it on youtube
tst Industries literally will make you happy if you have an r3 they have really strong support for it with amazing detailed parts designed for it and for a ton of other bikes too
Good job with the quality levers. I bought a set anodized adjustables on eBay for less than 40 bucks. Not a good place to save money the clutch lever dug through a brand new QUALITY clutch cable after a few months and finally snapped on a busy road. I just dry shifted down as I got over and struggled to find neutral with a notoriously sticky neutral find and that's with a clutch. Imagine the brakeside failing when you need it bad I didn't wait lol straight in the bin!
Looks sharp. Have you considered a rear seat eliminator and, removing the rear pegs? I didn't hear you mention a K&N Air filter either? If you put a power commander on that bike and flash it right, you could see upwards of 15% gains. It would definitely pep the bike up. There are full throttle upshift kits for the Ninja 400 but, there may also be one for the R3. That could basically be a track bike build even if you never track it. It would definitely make it more fun day to day. Stay safe.
This is probabaly as far as I will go with mods on this bike. Not running a power commander or k&n filter either. This bike is mostly for my wife to ride. If I lived closer to a track I would definitely turn it into a track build. Thanks and stay safe as well!
hey bro love your bike. it looks clean asf. But one question I have is how do you lower the handle bars? im trying to get a lower more aggressive riding feeling. PLEASE LET ME KNOW MAN!!!!!!!
In India we are super excited for litter bikes here we call them super bikes but we love bikes so much we love to own a 155cc r15 and we even have communities supporting different bikes
Nice bike man! Well done. Super clean TST products. Question for you. Why do you have the R3 as well as the MT-09? Do you use them for different purposes or just like the different styles?
In Many countries 250cc(249) and above is BIG BIKE. For example here in Thailand. 250cc bikes have privileged big bike parking . There are a lot of 150cc bike like CBR150 etc.
Thanks! Yeah on the 2019+ models they "upgraded" the suspension. They are not adjustable but from what I've heard they are a big improvement over the 2018 and older models.
Yup here in ASIA thats a nice bike to have. Liter bikes are expensive, costly to maintain and insured. We all know one mistake on a liter bike leads to serious accidents or death. Im not saying small CC bikes wonth kill u but u have a better chance controlling or surviving cause it doesnt go as fast as a liter bike
i’m really thinking about whether i should buy an R3 or an R6 Because i’m 6’2 (189 Cm) So i’m afraid that i’m gonna be cramped on an R3 i just think the R6 is a little heavy for my first Bike. Is 6’2 Too Tall For an R3?

Great looking bike. I’m in the process of getting into motorbikes myself, and want to start out on a smaller displacement bike to really hone my skills. One question, what made you lower your bike? Was it a seat height issue? Or purely for aesthetics?
The only thing was the small mud guard that mounts directly behind the rear shock. I had to trim about an inch off of it so it would not contact the spring. But other than that, I haven't had issues with anything else.

I'm out in st augustine. But I'm pretty sure many of the mods will void the warranty, especially if you mess with the ECU or run a power commander. Good to save the stock parts and put them back on if you need have some expensive repairs that would be covered under warranty.
But if its like certain car mods, they might have to prove that your "mod" caused the failure to deny a warranty claim, not sure how it works on bikes. If anyone knows for sure please chime in! Thanks.

You already lowered the bike sir?
Yes sir. I had it lowered when I bought it from the dealer. Mostly because it’s for my wife because she short, 5’2”
Cool Vid

Where did you buy ur lowering kit dude?
The dealer threw it in with the bike. not sure where they ordered it from directly. But I did put links in the description for the PSR lowering kit and PSR kickstand. These were the cheapest places I could find them online.
