hell yeah brother, got my first bike about 2 months ago, a red 2016 r3, and its been nothing but happiness, i believe ur enjoying that aswell. Ride safe 🤝
I'm in the middle of breaking in my new bike as well (Aprilia Tuono 660) and have not yet ridden on the highway either, so I had to click and watch your video. Six minutes in and I'm like "that highway and the surrounding area sure looks familiar" so I paused the video to read one of the signs. Yep, we're in the same general vicinity. Who knows? Maybe we'll pass on the road some day. Good luck with your beautiful bike!
Lovin the content so far man. Not sure how important this may be in the future, but might be beneficial to cut out specific start/stop places in your drives to keep some air of anonymity. Never know who might be trying to show up or do anything weird. Stay safe bro
Get the earplugs bro, I got mine and it blocks out the loud sounds like wind really good while still keeping it nice enough to hear sounds. Protects your hearing, especially when you get an exhaust.
Man i went thru the torture for 4 months after my full system Akra. i tried a lot of things but nothing helped so finally I got alpinestar MotoGP earplugs and a simple m3m earplugs and my life was changed. now I can ride for hours and hours without getting tired and having those loud sound of exhaust and wind hitting my head. great recommendation amigo. Go ahead and buy one. and if possible change gears only after 7000rpm for Fun. The bike starts behaving aggressively only after 7000 rpm. ❤

@@mmfox4514 Bikes are meant to run at high rpm's, even during the "break-in" period. So as long as you're not doing it every ride, you'll be fine. No need to stress.
You should always do an oil change right away after buying a brand new bike with little to no miles. It's the first thing I do and plenty of seasoned riders I know do. Motul 300v is the best thing for any superbike or supersport. Just my opinion tho
When I seen pictures of that bike, I really didn't like it. I rode to my local Yamaha dealer to get oil for my bike and they had one on the showroom floor. It is much nicer in person. Anyways, one thing you could do when you're riding in areas with side streets where cars can pull out in front of you is to cover your front brake with a couple fingers for a quicker reaction time just in case you need to emergency brake. You are doing good and enjoy the ride and be safe.

How many mpg you be getting on it ? I got a 2020 R3 lowkey wish I woulda got a 600 tbh 😭 I taught myself how to ride it & everything it’s a great first bike but highway feels like I can definitely use a little more power.
Nice! I remember feeling a little hesitant in really sending it during the break in period. I tried to adhere to recommended break in protocols as much as possible during that time (only 600mi). Being a brand new machine, those rings are seating still, etc. Not sure how big of a difference it really makes tbh. Recommend a Quad Lock case and mount for your handlbar or brake reservoir. And definitely earplugs. I'm using the earpeace brand and they work awesome!
First time on the highway on a naked bike (Ducati Scrambler Nightshift) The wind was so damn loud, definitely using ear protection next time. A friend of mine recommended Eargasm Earplugs
@@CloudedThoughtz I recognized the roads. That area is a scary place to ride. People can’t drive there at all. So, I got a 2024 R3 in the Yamaha blue (it looks sick in white as well btw) And I’m curious, did you buy the sticker that says R3 and add it yourself? I mean the one that is in the tank facing you when you ride it? I don’t have that 🥲 it looks good Hope you are enjoying yours as much as I am it’s my first bike and I’ve already put 3K miles on it this summer

U shouldn't worry too much about breaking in, just dont abuse it. It's actually good to push it unless you want a really lazy bike. If you drive alot in high gear and low rpms the bike can get pretty lazy.
