Yes it's correct, when I'm new in London I start to ask London people why many lords 😂😂 because we all know I am fool to understand what is the Lord words, because my Lord is Jesus Christ, then they are start laughing to me and said we all know that our Lord is Jesus Christ.
Until I learned British culture and I found what is the meaning of the Lord, I saw Lord title was started given by the King or Queen of UK, king and queen only given that title to those man helped a kingdom or donate for the kingdom of UK, so no lords are poor all lords are rich, and until know they continue to give a title lord to a man that helped and donating her wealth for the people of UK. That is the 1 function of Lord of UK, the 2nd Function is Religion and Politics.
But Lord word in UK are not represented to Lord in the heaven or not represented like God 😂 a Lord word to UK is a Friend on Royal Families or Any important person or UK that named her Lord.
Lord in UK is like Honorable, Sir, but no other meanings, only people called you my lord, if you have a wife they called them my lady, also to your daughter or son if they are in the right age a people called them my lord and my lady that's because they are having a blood of Lord.

Why would a PM ever want to stop doing that. It's quick, easy, and cheap. He doesn't need to call a committee or get approval. He just whips out standard form 12-J-mb(7) and makes someone a peer.
It's the equivalent of a manager handing out fancy titles at work because there's no money in the budget to give anyone an actual raise.
That doesn't work on me, as I typically invent my own titles. Nobody argues with it, but then they probably just don't care.

Yeah, they did THE one thing, that has proven so successful in forwarding human history: To ask the powerfull nicely... 😞 I followed a guy, axplaining greek myths. Interesting how pro-Brexit people complained about the "undemocratic" EU while having hereditary and appointed positions as well as church leaders in one of their houses of Parliament.
I voted to leave the EU because it's rotten to the core and have been an avid supporter of the abolition or at least the complete reform of the House of "Lords" since I was a teenager. Everybody votes for their own reasons and based on the statistics or gut feelings that support them, we are not robots. I am still Pro-Brexit because the EU parliament are still incompetent and extremely corrupt. They do not wish to reform themselves to be fairer and more democratic either.
Because it's Impossible to be anti EU and anti House of Lords too? Some people just want democracy where they can find it. The EU is even less democratic than the Lords as it is the legislative part of government that is unelected.
But something something all Brexit supporters are awful or something.

Because you are trying to make out that an argument made on a relative basis is one being made on an absolute basis. No system is perfectly democratic, but that does not mean that some systems are not worse than others.
Whilst the HoL is an undemocratic institution it is entirely beholden to the HoC; that is to say that although it can kick legislation back it cannot do this forever, and the HoC has the power to completely disband the HoL. In this sense the HoL acts exactly how it should - as a powerless check and balance on the government to hold it to a high standard and nothing more. That is a far cry from the EU where the undemocratic Commission are the only body that is even allowed to propose new laws.
What's more I would rather have those hereditary and church leaders amongst the peers than the ones dolled out by the MP stacking the house with people that will tow the party line on whatever poorly thought out rights trampling bill they are trying to push through next. That is what the reforms really did.
