@baconbuttties I contacted the seller and asked about the red door light problem and they answered to me: "These can be solved by resetting the protocol". Not sure if that is something that can help.
@@MarkoBabovic it doesn't work. The canbus is set for Astra J which is very similar to Meriva B. Astra J doesn't have rear door switch sensors and that's why the door light comes on. It needs a canbus rewrite for Meriva B
I bought the device as per your advice in the first video. Don't have a possibility to learn the buttons and also the main panel is not working. And have that red door mark on dashboard... All in all - will have to use it as already spent my budget... But thank you, now I can see which doors are actually open :D
Just a question, in the previous video you had problems with buttons of the steering wheel, did you change the software of the device? Because in my software I don't have the possibility of LEARNING for steering wheel buttons
My previously fitted Amazon reversing camera registered ‘no signal’, the seller did answer me to say try the camera they sent with the unit, it worked! Must be a unique protocol they use.

Hi, i just intalled the thing. thanks a lot, i only found it because of you. installation was easy, no problems with cable lengths. but sadly, nothing works correctly. did you manually change the settings for the canbus? if yes, could you share where in the settings exactly? and did you get android auto to work with your phone? i cant connect it besides just basic bluetooth connectivity for calling and musik. but no real android auto functions like i know from other cars ive driven, that had native android auto. thank you in advance, the help would be appreciated
Android auto worked for me wired and wireless. Make sure you plug in the connection at the back with the 2 short wires as this is the WiFi aerial. As for the canbus button mismatch I did manage to get into the settings and manually store the correct steering wheel buttons. I can't remember how I did it as that was many months ago. Also not all these units are identical to the one I had. It's best to look in the comments section for some ideas.

On the back of the main radio panel with all of the buttons there are two connectors on top left and right side, one at the bottom and on in the middle right side of the panel. That middle right connector, did you plug it back in panel or did you plug it to the Android loom with canbox? 2. Question is connected to the first one, If I don't connect that connector to the loom my android unit doesn't turn off when I take out my key? 3. Depending how you connected your buttons panel dose it have red backlight when lights are on? As it is now my top buttons around volume knob and AC buttons are lighting up. Radio buttons are off.
@@baconbuttties yes I think I messed up a bit. Just now I watched Astra J install , and I think that that one black connector should be connected to a matching connector that was original on the original LCD. I will check it tomorrow.

@@baconbuttties it Worth the try. You can send the apk with SHAREit ftom the multimedia to your phone. Or you can backup the apk from multimedia to a usb through factory extra settings

Yes it doesn't work 100 percent because the closest canbus for me was astra J.

Yes it is set to a certain protocol. On some head units you can change settings, not sure if you can do it on this one.

Have you tried the dab amplifier for normal car aerial as I heard it's a bit hit and miss?

It's supposed to work through canbus and not sure what wire would need to be cut for key 1/2 or if it would even work that way.

Android auto worked for me wired and wireless. Make sure you plug in the connection at the back with the 2 short wires as this is the WiFi aerial.

Also not all these units are identical to the one I had. It's best to look in the comments section for some ideas.
Hi in canbus settings what models can you chose? Can you try Mokka or Insignia, thy should also have auto lock feature .
Tried all that was available. The autolock function on a Meriva is more complex than mokka insignia

All I did was change the mv value in the sw app settings and then the learn function appeared

The original front radio panel should only have the original connectors from the car fitted and none going to the android unit.
That's how mine was.

Is there a fix for the red door light error yet? I cant justify purchasing if it doesn't work with the car properly. It has to be an easy fix.

There's a setting to turn the display buttons to the left on and off somewhere. Have you seen that function?
