I own a gun store and I’ve had about every trigger imaginable for a Glock. Some of them in the $400 range. This is my favorite one. I’m slowly selling off all my other triggers to try and replace them with these. I love the fact that I keep the standard springs!
Just installed this trigger on my G34 clone build. Shane forgot about the retainer clip and screw on the bottom of the sear housing that locks it into the trigger housing..lol. Love this trigger so far!
I'm excited! I've never met a Timney trigger I didn't like. Our current favorite triggers for Glock handguns is the Long Ranger from Ranger Proof. This should be a nice compliment for this that need/want a nice clean trigger that breaks at 3lbs. I really appreciate how Timney has moved the return spring to the front and has seemingly incorporated an overtravel stop into the "receiver" housing. Most overtravel stops stop the crucifix(back of the trigger bar) from the left by way of a set screw in the ejector housing or on the connector. These can work, but since they are off-center of the trigger bar, shooters tend to pull the gun in the opposite direction of the stop. If this is indeed the case, BRAVO!! 👏 The price seems right in line for the quality and what you actually get. Good work, Timney!!
That's definitely different than stock set ups. I'm sure there are many who would like to know the specs of trigger pull and if the take up is shorter than stock, not only those but if it is really that much smoother. I think you need to do a side by side using inexperienced shooters for a real life comparison, not a team member who's selling it.
It appears that it renders the glock to no longer be "double action". The striker now sits on a sear and is "cocked" while finger is off of the trigger. True?
I see the same thing. Curious how USPSA will rule on this. I personally don’t care one way or the other. A good trigger doesn’t make one a good shooter anyway.
I put mine in a few days ago. Glock 19 gen5. Had issues with the trigger resetting after firing. Took it to my gunsmith, and he did something to it. It’s better than before.
Their website says that they only make it for the Gen 3 and 4 Glocks. I have two Gen 5 Glocks and would love to have their trigger in both. I hope they make the trigger for the Gen 5 Glocks soon.
I love Glock pistols, but hate Glock triggers . . . too spongy. Just finished installing the Alpha Competition Series trigger in my Gen4 G17. For comparison, I have my G23 with OEM trigger and G43 with Rock Your Glock trigger in front of me. Haven't been to the range with the new Alpha trigger, so this is just a dry fire comparison. The new Alpha is definitely an improvement over the OEM trigger . . . reset is slightly better, but the break is crisper and the pull is lighter. However, to me, it's a not a BIG improvement. Hoping I notice a bigger improvement once I try it at the range. Comparing the Alpha on my G17 to the Rock Your Glock on my G43, they feel much the same. The reset is about the same, and the break on both is crisp. The pull on my G43 is actually lighter than I prefer on a EDC, but I'm anxious to fire my G17 with this 3lb trigger. Overall, the Alpha is definitely an improvement over OEM, and very similar to the RYG. I have Timney triggers on a couple AR's, and they are amazing . . . the pull is like breaking glass. So, I had high hopes for their first pistol trigger. Honestly, even though the Alpha is an improvement, I'm a little disappointed.
What happens when you dry fire? Does the "trigger return spring" push the trigger back forward? (I ask, because OEM Glock triggers don't have a trigger return spring. The striker spring is the only spring that pushes the trigger forward when cycled).
Good job of making it pretty much impossible to tell how the trigger return spring goes on, you might as well been pointing the camera at the ceiling. I guess I'll have to watch an ameture video or figure it out for myself when I get mine.
@@ronandt9913 Apparently I can read better than you since you didn't comprehend that I didn't have the instructions when I posted that comment. Btw I did install it just fine but no thanks to this video.
The gen 5 is coming but like Garret said a lot more gen 3-4 out there. A lot of us prefer gen 3 that's why they still make them. If you start looking for glock parts you will notice everything leans heavily to gen 3.
This looks really promising. It makes the Glock a true single action handgun, no cocking the firing pin. Honestly I’d get it for my carry if they offered a heavier pull weight, 3 pounds just isn’t ideal on an EDC
I haven’t heard anything about the Glock safeties with this trigger or drop test. But,... Coming from Timney I can’t see them releasing an unsafe trigger.
Well I got other expensive triggers why not another. In competition always looking for an edge. Order it last night so now I'm thinking of 2lb is better than 3lb. LOL.
It’s gotta be weird for glock they’re like “Here you go team here’s a glock 34 for competition” … Glock team procedes to throw away so many stock glock parts to where it’s not even a glock when they’re done.
There is no such thing as "trigger freeze". Please do not use that term. and drop the narcotics type music recorded over the top the narrative. I am interested one of these triggers but with the music canceling out the speaker I ca't determine anything other than someone associated with this video likes this crappy music. If you want my attention---stop playing this music. It is offensive to me. I will visit again to see if you have improved your video. No business from me right now.

Sounds like a really great design. Can’t wait for the gen 5 version to come out.
March 1 for Gen 5.
@@GunTalkTV damn was just listening to this podcast and came to ask this question. Thanks!
Just did my 17 Gen 5. Unbelievable trigger, 100% reliable.

Ordered.

You can preorder for Gen 5 glocks at Brownells. Just placed an order myself.

Johnny Glock did a video on it. Yes that's exactly how it works.
Just got mine and got it put in. Feals good. Will be at the range tomorrow!
Give us your review please. Thanks.
How was the trigger ?
I put mine in a few days ago. Glock 19 gen5. Had issues with the trigger resetting after firing. Took it to my gunsmith, and he did something to it. It’s better than before.
Does Timney have a carry version of this trigger?
Is the Trigger IPSC production legal?
Will this work on a gen 2 .....

Gen 5 and all black option please.
What happens when you dry fire? Does the "trigger return spring" push the trigger back forward? (I ask, because OEM Glock triggers don't have a trigger return spring. The striker spring is the only spring that pushes the trigger forward when cycled).
Does it work with g26?
Any history on whether the trigger return spring fails after tons of dryfire? Thanks for everyone's thoughts!
Is this compatible with the G27?
Why is G21 Gen 3 not listed, curious why? Are they going to make one…I’m ready to purchase one.
Will it fit the Shadow Systems mr920
Nomad 9 frame worked with this trigger??
Looks like the Arsenal Democracy Switch trigger a lil' bit.
G26 isn’t listed as compatible. Any thoughts on this Alpha in the G26?
Just what I was asking.
Nice slide. Did he replace his spring?
Can it be used in a Gen2 Glock 22?
How about gen 4 Glock 20?
Will it fit in the 29sf gen 3?
Sooo, your saying that it's better than a Gen 3 or 4 trigger. Is it noticeable better than a Gen 5 trigger?
Good job of making it pretty much impossible to tell how the trigger return spring goes on, you might as well been pointing the camera at the ceiling. I guess I'll have to watch an ameture video or figure it out for myself when I get mine.
Learn how to read. The instructions are very clear.

Will it fit oz9
you start with last gen glocks? Not the actual latest glock?? Interesting.
Probably more 3/4 gens out there than 5th. They may have started development with those too, just a thought.

How about don't use this in a defensive pistol or your Glock's striker is now at full spring compression?
Common sense goes a long way. Besides it still has all the safeties in place.
What slide is that?
This looks really promising. It makes the Glock a true single action handgun, no cocking the firing pin. Honestly I’d get it for my carry if they offered a heavier pull weight, 3 pounds just isn’t ideal on an EDC

How easy?!...
(insert 47 steps)
Damn, not even Glock likes Glock triggers. (Edit: joking aside, I actually don't think Glock triggers suck like a lot of people.)
How the hell do you not make a trigger for gen 3 Glock 20sf?
Racist!!!!
