Congratulations on graduation!! I’m almost finished with my bachelors degree and so excited to start the masters in clinical mental health counseling!! Your videos have been informative and have helped with some of the anxiety I was experiencing- afraid of the road ahead. Thanks for being transparent, and once again, congratulations!
Awesome video as always Klaudia, congrats on your journey so far, you're almost there! 😊🎓 Just started my second semester this past week, and it definitely feels a bit more busier than last semester for sure 😅📚 Doing Research in Counseling, Human Development, and Professional Issues and Ethics 👶🔍⚖️
Those classes are definitely some core ones that you need under your belt. The first semester is an intro for sure than things get going. Keep me updated on how everything is going for you! 😊
❤❤ love your channel, again thank you for sharing your journey. You have definitely been an inspiration and motivation for me to get started. And now I’m slowly but surely getting through the process. I have now just over a year left in my program .
Hi Klaudia! Thank you for sharing your journey! I'm currently in the process of looking at mental health graduate programs and I had a question about what job opportunities/ collecting hours looks like after graduation. Do MHC get paid for earning the 2,000 or so hours after completing a masters program? Or does payment for work really begin once all licensure requirements are submitted to the state. Congragulations on being so close to completing that masters program!!
Hello Elizabeth, you can start working and getting paid once you graduate. I’m Florida you are called a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, we are hired just like a fully licensed person would get hired. The only difference is you have to have a supervisor you meet with once a week or a certain hours in a certain time period for those 1500/2000 hours. I know a lot of people who just graduated that are associate clinicians and make great money.
Congrats :) What inspired you to change careers and pursue this field if you don't mind me asking and is there a specific population that you want to work with?
I went into a psychology bachelors and they had substance abuse counseling courses. It was a no brainer to pursue my masters and learn more about counseling. Also family stuff and things I went through in life. It’s helped me grow a lot. Not sure what population I want to work with yet, I’m all over the place but I like working with anxiety, OCD, doing inner child work, solution focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Working with moms the list is long 😊
❤❤❤ I’m at my second residency now! It’s exciting to hear that trusting the process does work!
How is that going for you? What are you guys doing for residency? Congrats on doing well 😊
I’m so excited for you to start to professional journey and to witness you getting licensed, etc. Way to go, Klaudia! 🎉🎉🎉
