Wallahi the moulanas of the subcontinent don't teach people about masah on socks/ shoes , it will be easy for masses to follow Islam, praying and reading Quran etc,.... but they don't????
Alhamdulillah since Allah made me to work in Saudi Arabia, I was gifted about this fact of masah on socks/shoes.
Listen to Dr. Yasser Qadi's lecture about this. In this way I am with wadu most of the time of the day. My job involves traveling and any time I can pray and read Quran/Mus'haf.
