My friend I really enjoyed your video. The cinematography is movie quality and the audio is really soothing, Specially the howling wind… and don’t get me started on the content. This is why I still come to TH-cam. Greeting from Portugal. Great pronunciation of bacalhau
The north of Norway won my heart and I left America over 2 decades ago. Amazing nature and amazing people and community. Also can't beat the long cold dark winters. Some winter days when it would rain and immediately freeze outdoors are the most spectacular days o wake up to. Trees and everything outside looks to be incased in glass. On these days its a surreal dream, at least for this artist.
In Kokelv, that reminds me of my grandparents, they lived in Havøysund, and we (5 kids! I am the eldest.) visited during the summer. We went fishing with our father during the night, and back to grandma making fishcakes, being sooooo tired, but had to do it while fresh. My best memories, was with grandma, sitting by the kitchen table, just her and me, she made it special, put on a tablecloth, the best china, and learned me about drinking coffee, and was allowed to take 2-3 sugarcubes for the coffee. A happy time! ❤ We played by the waterfront, no adult supervision, no lifejackets... it was at the end of the 60's and early 70's... Not like today! 😂
That are some good memories! Must have been ecstatic with the sugared coffee :D I had it with tea when I was young. Those days without supervision were golden! 🏔️
@@tilldaling 😁 Supervision? 🤣🤣🤣 Nah, the moment we were out of the door.... We turned into WILD THINGS!!!! I used to borrow (read: stealing!) my granddads big bicycle, where I had to twist my body so I could use it, to bike in an angle all the time. 😁 This was how I learned to bike... My friends during the summer, we ran EVERYWHERE! Learned to row a boat, and the currents we had to row was sometimes very strong, but we enjoyed it, the only time we went indoors, was to eat, before we was back out again, it did not matter where we ate, at my grandma or at my friends mums, everyone fed us. 😀 It is sad, but we never had any contact during the other seasons, still, I remember those summers very fondly! Now, I am a grandma to 2 boys, and they will not experience that freedom I had, everything they do is so restricted, everything is planned ahead, they have schedules for everything! It is citylife (Trondheim)! Used to have a cottage on a small island at Hitra, and when my kids was small, they had to have a safety-west before I allowed them out of the door. My son learned to row a boat, and also fish... they was not interested in gutting the fish... 🤣🤣🤣 Loved the time when we had that cottage.
People like you Truly make me appreciate the country i live in. Feels bad sometimes with the prices, etc. But you cant deny it the views are stunning, and the nature is just top class.
A truly beautiful video! I live in America but love to travel through others like you on TH-cam. I knew Norway was beautiful but this place is simply amazing and the most peaceful place on earth I do believe. I have to show this to my son who loves the outdoors and fishing and tries to get away to a cabin on a few hundred acres that belongs to his inlaws and hunt deer so I know he will really enjoy this. Thank you for uploading this!
When I watched your video I cried. I have such a deep longing to go back and visit Norway again, to travel up north and get lost on the tundra in the Finnmark area, it would give me such peace and tranquility.❤
Ive moved from Hamburg, germany, to Finnmark, this summer. And so far its been the best decision of my life. The summer here was beautiful despite the fact i only witnessed half of it, the fall is currently amazing too. And im excited for winter. I am near a big city here but theres still nature and beauty and i see the ocean every morning i look outside my window. Nature truly made me happy, id never go back. To be honest i had no issues sleeping during the midnight sun, and now that its darker i also got no issues at all, i love the cold and darkness too
I'm glad you made the move 🏔️ I've been living in Hamburg for three years and am pretty sure you made the best choice! The ocean is wild up there in winter :)
Now I got homesick. I grew up outside Hammerfest, and the longing for home can often be like an aching sorrow, but at the same time an expectation that I will soon return. Next summer we are planning another trip, three years since the last time - which is a long time for us. We have often been up north every summer, or at least every second year. Watching the landscape drift by on your drive to the north, I was reminded of the eternal horizons and distant blue mountains in enormous stretches of Western Canada and America. One can drive for days, mstill, and pass only small towns that are hours apart. It's great to know there are regions of our planet that still look and sound empty, though not missing birdsong or the breeze through pine trees, just empty of industry, human mercantilism and sprawling, ugly development. Earth is not over yet! She still has some of her youthful complexion--if only we conserve these special, remote places around her azure, arcuate horizons.
I came across your channel and this video by chance, and it’s truly inspiring! It makes me want to visit northern Norway with its abundance of natural beauty and tranquility. Watching your video brings a sense of calm and relaxation-thank you for sharing! I’m your new subscriber from Thailand.
Amazing video, generally it is hard to watch such a long video but the view and the direction perfect balance of natural sound and music was so amazing, great work...
Your video is beautifully recorded, edited and narrated; the music you selected is perfect. I don't think that I will ever get to Norway so I thank for sharing her beauty.
man, you are filling a lot of finnmarking hearts with this wonderful video. I like many others in the comment section is from the area and probably often feel like our "fylke" is forgotten by well... most people. it's like a lost paradise only we know about, that we constantly have to defend to keep alive. Lovely to see someone appreciate the magic :)
I'm very glad you had a good time with it! In a way, at least for tourism, it's wonderful that isn't as popular :) On the other hand I'm worrying a little about how the attention the smaller places get up north. For me it's on of the most free and beautiful places there is, you have a nice up there :)
Thanks for showing us the beautiful 😍 Northern Norway 🇳🇴. Such a lovely video we both enjoy your adventures. Greetings from Simon and Beth watching from England 🏴♥️👌👋
Thank you so much for your great video. Great Quality. You might not know but this helps a lot! We have hellis dry hot summers above 40+celcius in eastern europe for 3-4 months with no rain, nothing to harvest, the land, the forests, animals dying, and a war going on next to us, it helps a lot to escape at least mentally 😊
I'm glad you had a great time with it, Roland! I very much hope that the tension in your region will ease up soon! Until then, I'll try to provide some more videos 🏔️
Well, the way they cut the forests in Romania and the whole region, it make for hellish summer. The greedy West just bought everything..and locals don't do much to or can't to much against the corruption and bribery. Taking away the future and detroying the forests will turn that Region into hell..Hope people wake up soon and stop the madness!!
Thank you for the beautiful and calming video. Summer there is ideal to be outdoors, but with all those mosquitoes it must be so irritating. I wonder how people living in that part of the world centuries ago controlled the mosquitoes during summer.
I grew up in southern Italy and back then every single grocery would have its tub of soaking bacalau. It was so different from the fish we saw in the Mediterranean. By that I mean It was HUGE. One day I asked the grocer where that beast came from. He said It came from Norway. Having no idea where Norway was I just nodded knowingly.
Ah, you guys were fishing at Lillefjordvannet in the end? There actually is some huge throuts there! I have a cabin in a family place that's kinda close. About 17km from the nearest road northwest of Snefjord. Beautiful video
A magnificent and atmospheric video! You really made my Sunday evening and gave me an opportunity to breath deep amidst the stress by vicariously living through your eyes. As a fellow Nordic I can totally relate to what you're commenting and depicting. Best of luck to your upcoming adventures from Finland! 🇸🇯🇫🇮

This is what life should be like! I have some family from northern Norway, and went to a roadtrip up there last year. We had great weather and it was really something else!
@@tilldaling This summer was insane, and it's unfortunately only going to get better. The summers nowdays are nothing like the cold, horrible ones in the past when I grew up.
I love the sound of the birds that sing all night, it reminds me of the summers in Iceland and fishing, but it's not only the seabirds I can hear some Plovers, Clamcatcher and Snipe (Hrossagaukur)

I'm very glad that you had a good time despite the length 😊🏔️
Beautiful filming.Thanks.I would love to spend a year there.
Yes, all four seasons would be beautiful 🐺
Very cool video that kept me fixated throughout. I look forward to experiencing the north in the future!

So incredibly beautiful! One of my bucket list places to go.
I hope you get that one checked off the list soon 😊
Your video is beautifully recorded, edited and narrated; the music you selected is perfect. I don't think that I will ever get to Norway so I thank for sharing her beauty.
Maybe you get a good taste of it through the videos at least 🏔️
That was exactly what I needed after a long day in a crowded and stressed city! Thanks a lot bro
I'm happy it was a good addition to your day :)
man, you are filling a lot of finnmarking hearts with this wonderful video.
Hei Simon and Beth! Greetings to the neighbour island 🐺 There are more adventures to come :)
Lovely, I watched the whole thing; also find myself drawn by the North. You've got yourself another subscriber.
I'm glad you made it here and have a good time with the channel! 😊 There will be more Norway coming soon 🏔️
Interesting experience. Thanks for sharing. This may inspire people to try a different life style. Good for you!
Or just enjoy nature just a little bit more 😊
Thank you so much for your great video.
I assume they just took it as it was 🦟 We can get used to a lot of things :)
Now you've got to see a place where it might have come from :) I hope you'll have some bacalao soon!
Ah, you guys were fishing at Lillefjordvannet in the end? There actually is some huge throuts there! I have a cabin in a family place that's kinda close. About 17km from the nearest road northwest of Snefjord. Beautiful video
Yes, only with smaller trout tho :) You're family cabin there sound amazing! 17km from the nearest road would be my dream place 🐺
Your beautiful dog is going to to be a superstar.
He is already for us :)
Stunningly, beautiful video, love from Atlanta, Georgia
All the best back to Atlanta 🐺
I'm visiting Norway next June, and although it will be via a cruise i cannot wait to go. Based on this i might need to book another trip after.
Always worth a second trip!! 😊🇳🇴
WOW! Your life in Norway seems really wonderful. i CANT wait to travel to Norway one day! I love the Moose btw, so cute. Greetings from Switzerland :)
I hope you make the journey soon :) There will definitely be some moose waiting!
I live in a tiny village of Northern Norway and I find much more peace here than in the busy town I come from in the middle Europe. 18 years here and I have no intention of going back so far. ❤ Thank you for your video!
You're a great storyteller and most frames are very cinematic and artistic. I'm really enjoying it.
Nice that it had a good flow and you appreciate the north 😊
This is what life should be like! I have some family from northern Norway, and went to a roadtrip up there last year. We had great weather and it was really something else!
With great weather, I think it's one of the best places on this planet 🐺
@@tilldaling This summer was insane, and it's unfortunately only going to get better. The summers nowdays are nothing like the cold, horrible ones in the past when I grew up.
@@rawfromnowhere Same here, still 30 degrees..
Living the dream!! Love from California ☀️
Much love back to your warm place 🏔️
Awesome video, Thank you for sharing this beautiful place. ✨❤❤😍
I'm glad you had a good time seeing the north ⛰️🐺
I love the sound of the birds that sing all night, it reminds me of the summers in Iceland and fishing, but it's not only the seabirds I can hear some Plovers, Clamcatcher and Snipe (Hrossagaukur)
The whole spectrum up there! Loads of golden plovers and snipes. Nothing feels more than summer then them singing 🏔️
Thx for video.Greetings from Slovenia.👍
Greetings back to Slovenia :)
Stunning cinematopgraphy and very well composed. Regards from a southerner from Oslo.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, greetings to the south ⛰️
Hello from USA. Glad you are having a great time up there.
till, I saw your video for first time, I just amused for the nature and your live style, nothing to compare here in London. UK..
I'm glad you made it here then :) It's a very good place over here 🏔️ Greetings to London
Well done on your beautiful video’s and thank you for sharing!
I’m enjoying your video’s from the opposite side of the world - Cape Agulhas, the Southern most tip of Africa.
Greetings to south Africa while autumn is coming here, you now finally hitting spring 🌱🌱
We live six miles from the nearest town and largely keep to ourselves…it’s heaven!!
100% agree! Even better with some good "somewhat" close neighbours :)
Excellent work Till! You put words on what many people feels and thinks about life in the north and generally. Kokelv have (no surprise) a very special place in my heart.
I'll be happy to contribute in a "winter edition" 😊
-Nils Jørgen P. (son of Reidar who grew up on that farm)
Hei Nils Jørgen! It was great to meet up there this year and I'm happy you enjoyed the video :) It would be amazing to come up in winter, I just needs to get my hands on some money for the drive :D Hope we will see us soon up there, say hi to Reidar!
glad i found this video and your channel.... love Norway and hard to find quality, peaceful videos like this one on YT. I will for sure be checking your other videos as well 🤙🤙
I'm glad you made it here ⛰️ there will hopefully be many more videos to come 🐺
@@tilldaling I look forward to it 🤙🏼🤙🏼🖖🏼
Nice to see you back Till!
It's always taking a bit longer than I'd prefer it to :)
Stunning video! Beautiful country. I live in Maine, US, which is somewhat similar. I would love to visit northern Norway one day.
Always worth the travel I'd say 🏔️
Maine isnt very similar to Norway. A better comparison would be Northern Canada. Maine is more like the Baltics or so climate wise but more rainy.
Moral to the story: Go north ! Lol! Loved the adventure. I’ll never experience it I’m sure but thank you for visually bringing me to northern Norway 🇳🇴
Hi from USA Virginia 🇺🇸
❤
You'll join some more adventures in future :)
Enjoyed your film very much. It is a beautiful place and hope to visit one day like you. Great camera work. Thanks.
I'm glad you enjoyed it Darren :)
Beautiful nature with flowers , birds. Norway is nice place.
It very much is! A few too many mosquitoes tho :)
A simply spectacular place!!! Im from Ålesund but soon I'll visit this wonderful paradise❤
Whenever you make it up there, I hope you're having a good time 🐺
This month I have visited Norway for the first time. I have not felt so relaxed, happy and peaceful in such a long time. And I felt welcome. I live in a crowded place in the Netherlands and often feel anxiety and stressed, not in Norway. This is what life is supposed to mean I think. I could live there, and I am sure I would be happy
I drove from Tromso to Nordkapp, Alta, into Finland and back a couple months ago and I loved it. I would 100% move there.
It's a very different life up there ❄️
