Both planes are real, but neither are made in China. The aircraft thought to be produced by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation came from South Korea, which is relatively close to Northeast China; while the aircraft thought to be produced by China Chengdu Aircraft Corporation came from Manipur, India, and flew over the Himalayas and Tibet to reach Chengdu. So you can see that China sent out J-16 and J-20s to track them, but they failed to catch up.
China isn't going to war with Philippines or India, so there is nothing for them to fear. There is only one country that credibly threatens China and its interests, and these hi-tech weapons is aimed at China's defense against them.

I've always been more wary of china than most western people, so to dismiss this plane outright is probably a bad idea, however on the oher hand china has historically had a very patchy record with most things military, so we'll just have to see where this goes and see what information comes to light.

This is not even fighter, but ordinary companion/carrier similar to S-70, X-47, Neo and a lot of more. There are also no accepted list of requirements for future 6th gen jets, so impossibly to call anything as 6th gen when requirements even not accepted yet. As example exist discussion, that 6th gen must to have ability to fly in nearest space. Discussion that it must have hypersonic speed. Accepted decision that it must to have small hypersonic a2a missiles (nobody in world invented them and will not invent for at least next 10 years). And so on. More likely first 6th gens will arrive only after 2050s.
This Chinese aircraft, literally looks the same as the Indian HAL Tejas shape which entered in indian airforce back in 2015 ,known for its Unique triangular aircraft shape.
Apparently a flat diamond is the perfect stealth shape. Speculation suggests that this plane is not intended as a fighter, as it's size and shape make it lack agility. It's probably designed for straight-line flights to a target and back. Making it a bomber or attack plane rather than a fighter.
People above told nonsense, it have nothing common with so-called stealth. Flying wing/triangle shape allow to carry more weight, as result to fly more/longer range. Disadvantage of such shape - instability, complicated control, low speed (as you see, this plane have no vertical wings, it means it is slow). That’s why such shape was unpopular in previous decades (first flying wings and triangles arrived in USSR back in 1920s), now it got second breath regards to automatization. It is nice shape for drones. So, this one is companion drone for real fighters, carrier of additional weapons. While itself this is not fighter and of course not some 6th gen (from point of fly ability it is far even from 4th gen). While for stealth such shape give nothing at all. It is nice that it is flat, but only if radar emit it in exactly same surface, otherwise it have no point. Stealth in general have no point because works only in fantastical and unreal conditions, not in real life.
Not sure why the Chinese need to build advance 6th Gen fighter jet. The US Navy can only shoot their own fighter jet, not others... Just recently, the US Navy shot down 2 F/A 18 fighter jets... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've always been more wary of china than most western people, so to dismiss this plane outright is probably a bad idea, however on the oher hand china has historically had a very patchy record with most things military, so we'll just have to see where this goes and see what information comes to light.

China never officially claimed the test planes were 6th Generation. Looked more like new fighter-bombers that China have been talking about for sometime.
This is not even fighter, but ordinary companion/carrier similar to S-70, X-47, Neo and a lot of more.
There are also no accepted list of requirements for future 6th gen jets, so impossibly to call anything as 6th gen when requirements even not accepted yet.
As example exist discussion, that 6th gen must to have ability to fly in nearest space. Discussion that it must have hypersonic speed. Accepted decision that it must to have small hypersonic a2a missiles (nobody in world invented them and will not invent for at least next 10 years). And so on.
More likely first 6th gens will arrive only after 2050s.

Speculation suggests that this plane is not intended as a fighter, as it's size and shape make it lack agility. It's probably designed for straight-line flights to a target and back. Making it a bomber or attack plane rather than a fighter.

Flying wing/triangle shape allow to carry more weight, as result to fly more/longer range.
Disadvantage of such shape - instability, complicated control, low speed (as you see, this plane have no vertical wings, it means it is slow). That’s why such shape was unpopular in previous decades (first flying wings and triangles arrived in USSR back in 1920s), now it got second breath regards to automatization. It is nice shape for drones.
So, this one is companion drone for real fighters, carrier of additional weapons. While itself this is not fighter and of course not some 6th gen (from point of fly ability it is far even from 4th gen).
While for stealth such shape give nothing at all. It is nice that it is flat, but only if radar emit it in exactly same surface, otherwise it have no point. Stealth in general have no point because works only in fantastical and unreal conditions, not in real life.
