As an African, I simply do not understand why so many, but not all Indians cheer ill fate and resent China so much. Africans, Indigenous Americans, Aboriginal Australians, Indians, Chinese, Middle Eastern people and South East Asians suffered so much under the brutal yolk of Western Imperialism and colonialism. Why in the would would wish ill fate towards another people who were subjected to so many of the crimes, injustices, violence, deprivations and aggression by Western Imperialist Powers. When I see China succeed, develop and progress, my heart automatically gets filled with joy. I cheer for them and wish them nothing but the outmost success. I would feel exactly the same towards India and its successes. I want all people who suffered the deprivations of Western Imperialism to succeed and peacefully develop. I don't understand how can so many Indians wish ill fate towards China and the Chinese people. We should be happy for them, cheer them on, emulate them and learn from their lessons and successes and failures for our own successes and victories. We should work towards collaboration, not confrontation. The world is not a zero sum game. If you try to make it a zero sum game, everyone will lose.
Those Hindians with a few dollars in their pockets don't respect anyone, not even themselves, this is one of the reasons Hindia is backward, filthy, messy and disorganized. They hate China because they're jealous.

China has its own space station, its own navigation system, its own 5g wireless technology, its own drone technology like dji and others, and China has capabilities to build 3 aircraft carriers in six years while dominating in the world shipping industries. China builds more high speed rails 3 times more than the whole world combined. And China is winning in ev and solar technologies .And China’s gdp is 4 times bigger than India. China spends hundreds trillions of its own money to build up its own infrastructures without relies from others. It is also unnecessary to say things to put down China for their effort to develop and improve their own national defense. China will not attack India unprovoked. Ultimately it lead to the total retaliation from Chinese PLA in 1962 a.k.a. SIno-Indo war.
4. India claims on Mcmohan line and aksai Chin has absolutely no basis. Even according to an historian and adviser of Nehru - "India's Stand on China Border Irrational but Nehru's Handling Was Irresponsible", Avtar Singh Bhasin.
5. Even up to recent years, India army is still challenging the Chinese near the border e.g. Doklam military crash in which Doklam is not even a part of India's territory.

Mitra has got it all wrong. Even if these fighters are only Gen 5 the Chinese will learn from it and make Gen 6 within a reasonable span of time. Their great strengths are learning, experimenting, the application of acquired experiences and knowledge and then finally accomplishing by putting it all together with patience and hard work.
Look at their infrastructure, HSR, solar panels, green EV tech, Space station/satellites, rovers, tunnel boring machines, etc. When the Chinese first started they were nothing and the world laughed at them. Getting back to the fighter jet debate-China will have 3+ Gen 6 fighter/bomber aircraft before India creates a truly indigenous AMCA. It's not a criticism of India but a realistic acknowledgement of China's incredible intellectual capability.

Shiv, Indians are very smart people. Patriots like yourself are treasures to India. First step is to know what problems India has. As you know, 20-30 years ago, China faced the same problems India faces today. China purchased military hardwares from many countries especially from Russia . Chinese engineers learned a lot from other countries which could produce more advanced weapons or hardwares while trying to develop China’s own military industry. It is a long process. It takes government, military industry and engineers as well as all involved organizations to work together diligently . Most importantly, education is the key . You have to have enough intelligent people working on all programs. Nowadays, it seems China can do anything US can do and also do things US cannot do, all because of previous investment in education and training. Chinese space programs and military programs are worked by very young Chinese engineers in their 20s-30s. Knowing how to make PPT is far from being enough, need to work much hard, day and night, to realize the PPT. That is what Chinese engineers have been doing.

I'm a Chinese American and I study a lot of history. Don't worry guys, India and China will NEVER get into a bloody war. The thing that happened in 1960's was an anomaly. Two relatively new governments flexing their muscles and trying to prove themselves. But based on the personality of Indians and Chinese, I don't think it is in our nature to kill each other. We might screw each other on trade or argue back and forth about some rice fields, but we are too practical of a people to really go to war with each other and kill each other.
