- Here's a condensed history of Diana Ross's career and accomplishments. It's not everything (there's just so many) and it's not in chronological order. But it's a 16 minute journey of memories that hopefully will make you smile. Now, if we could only get her into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! She's there as a member of The Supremes, but her legendary rise to Superstardom includes 6 #1 records as a solo artist, the Kennedy Honor, A Grammy, Soul Train and AMA Legendary Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a halftime Superbowl show and so much more! She has changed the face of modern music as a member of the most successful girl group of all time and as a female solo artist. Music artists with less credentials have been voted into the exclusive Hall of Fame. I used three songs that I felt fit nicely in this tribute, You're All I Need To Get By, I Ain't Been Licked and The Boss. They are representative of the resilience, strength and love that defines Ms Ross.

Same here , I'll be 68 in July and have been a fan since I was a 10 year old school boy. I met here at a CD signing out in LA , it was a thrill of a lifetime , She signed the "Take Me Higher" CD , it had just be released....so cool to meet her and talk even for a brief time....She is very friendly and of course Beautiful !!
Do you guys, remember Diana Ross @ Caesars Palace in Las Vegas (1979) concert that starts with her singing “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” on a big screen and then they show her walking down a long staircase, until she perfectly steps right through the screen onto the stage in real Life?
Wow, what an Entrance… the whole audience immediately jumped to their feet to give her a standing ovation, including Me 👏
Concert in Central Park… (1983)
- Day 1: it Rained - and the way she handled the audience, when it started raining ☔️? She refused to leave the stage, risked her own safety, until the entire audience had exited the Park safely
- Day 2: Sunny day - she teased the audience singing “I’m Coming Out” back stage before she Entered the Stage. Of course, we were already on our feet… but the cheers from the crowd. It was Amazing 👏

No one will ever hold a candle to Diana in my eyes. I was just a kid in the 80's when I began listening to her music and I can't tell you how many times I've seen The Wiz, Mahogany, and LIVE in Central Park.😂 She will always be the Queen to me. She exudes so much class. Thanks for sharing!
I was introduced to The Supremes in 1964, I was 12 and I was hooked. Now, I'm 68 and I still am. She is the only one left of the original group, that I know of. It's too bad that there wasn't a reunion of the group, Diana, Mary and Cindy.
The skinny young lady from Detroit, became a DIVA her own way. Just like Frank Sinatra said. I Did It My Way. She instilled talent and glamour together. And didn't mind flaunting it. Just as Berry Gordy wanted it to be, with the Supremes. And later throughout her solo career.

As if she's the only one. You hear stories about the others too. We all do things at certain times in our lives that we aren't proud of as I'm sure you have. So why cast stones just to be prove it?

I used to sing in my bedroom using hairbrush as a mic to all her songs. I lived with an abusive mother and Especially had a love for ‘ain’t no mountain high enough’ believing someone would sing those words to me one day. she was an inspiration to me.
