I thought stiffness modifiers are only applicable under seismic design?

I have seen that in membrane you have the option to define the slab as one way whereas this is not possible in shell thin. Does that impact something in designing a one way slab as shell thin?

Thank you very much. If I have well understood in most cases, we have to go to shell thin and in times when much need to go to the beam like in staircase or heavy machine we go to membrane. I will like to know whether when we select slab we can select the overall slab in 1 go example by clicking on the first corner to the opposition corner of the whole building or it needs to be panel by panel and if panel by panel we need to define areas bounded by four column. I wish I could send you a picture to clarify my question. Is there a way to contact you for further information. Thanks.

There is another option called shell thick? At what thickness of the slab do we need to use this? Thanks.
