With the update of iOS 14, I have to give the edge to iOS. Its a cleaner interface and updates are applied when available. Plus Apple's Swift programming language doesn't have to have a lot of resources for apps to run great unlike Android using Java.
I have both S21 ultra and iPhone 12 but what kept me going back to the S21 ultra was the 120hz refresh rate Once you go 120hz you just can't go back to the micro stutter laggy 60hz refresh rate screen
I think I’m already on my numbered days with Apple. I currently have a XS that I’ll be rocking with for another 2 years after that I’ll be switching to Samsung’s flagship device. Main reasons 120hz display, fingerprint scanner, more gigs of ram, and not being stuck in an ecosystem.
I have the iPhone 12, I couldn't be happier. I only need my phone for a couple things. I like the simplicity of apple, I can't leave the point and shoot of iphone, as well as imessage
@@steelunited1115 The iPhone 12 is respectively good , but if you aren't Trapped in the monopoly that is apples ecosystem , the S21 is a way better choice , imo the camera comparison there isn't really fair he barely focused o the main cameras and didn't even talk about the zoom while he totally focused on the iPhones videos
Yes you did. While I have the S21 plus I cannot kill this phone. The battery is fantastic I can go into work with about 70% and end a 7-8hr shift with 30-35% it's kind of ridiculous. Sometimes I use wireless powershare just to kill my battery that's how good it is.
I switched to iPhone 12 from my 3 year old Samsung S8 (got black/dead screen), their amazing os and chipset made me changed my mind and how they update their phones for more than 3 years! Loving my first iPhone!
My Note20 Ultra is better then this years S21 Ultra 😒. The screen size is better your basically only seeing limited upgrades. I can still get 120hz, picture in picture, 8k, etc... what have they done they have taken away the micro SD slot and battery charger in the box. So basically Samsung is pulling an Apple.... the reason I switched from Apple in the first place was they didn't offer you much and they took things away each year 🙄. Looks like I'll just keep this Samsung 6'9 inch beast until I see something better in the future 🤔.
One thing I would say the display is actually better, brighter also both use LTPO but the S21 Ultra uses gen 2 which helps more in the long term with updates
I frequently go back and forth and BOTH Samsung (Android) and iPhone have their pros and cons. Both are good at different things. One isn't Significantly better than the other.
Thanks for the video! I just bought the iPhone 12 Mini in January and I’m happy with it. Battery life could be a little better, but it’s okay. I’ve owned nothing but iPhones, but my son has a Samsung Galaxy (not sure which one). His phone does have a lot of features that I wish the iPhone did have. Maybe eventually will offer them. However, the iPhone has some features that the Galaxy doesn’t.
For me, the S21 wins the day. It's just a better equipped phone. I really enjoy the 120hz display. 🍎, still stuck on 60hz? Plus that ridiculous notch and outdated design & 64gb's of base storage in 2021, what, huh? And the trade-in deals that Samsung & all carriers offer?

@@kamarulbahrain4869 i had the a52 with at&t but made the switch from at&t to xfinity mobile and got the s21. I felt the lag here and there being use to having the iphone 11 pro and s10 plus and s9 plus before and even the iphone x. And with xfinity mobile my bill per month went from 105 to 70 bucks. And i got better phone. So worth it.
BEST PHONE EVER. Upgraded from an iPhone 6s plus to this phone. This phone is a beast. I'm able to run GameCube games easily and wii games with no problem. Since I have a Xbox controller I use that to play these games. I'm so unbelievably happy.
@@revirdkcalb if you plan to buy ipad, mac or any product apple you will love the apple ecosystem. But if you want some freedom just go for samsung. The thing that im looking forward is samsung ecosystem which still in development. Such as dex. Not to mention, one ui for me is the best android ui.
iOS is extremely easy to use, I love it. I just can't seem to go back to an iphone, got use to the samsung UI. Honestly i like apple macbooks, and samsung phones.

It took me about 3 days to switch from android > ios > android back. iphone is not for those who likes to tweak here & there freely with less restrictions

If I didn’t need iMessage, and have thousands of pics on iCloud I would 100% pick the new Samsung’s over my iPhone 12 Pro. But I’m kinda too deep into apples ecosystem with my MacBook Pro, AirPods etc.

I've slowly gone into the samsung space with having the buds ,phone and watch I love the custom options you can get with it I don't regret it but I wish the 120hz last longer with the battery as I've turned it off
I am very happy with my S21+. I'm sure both S21 and iPhone 12 have amazing hardware, but it's the software that made the difference for me (though S21's 120hz display was also one great reason). Tried iPhone 12 of my gf, and iOS just isn't for me. It's not as smooth, the notifications are horrible (cannot see notification messages when phone is locked, lack of notification preview), and the customization is only sub-par compared to Android.
I agree. Apple is better for ME, but not for everyone. However I currently use the S20FE 5g. I used the iphone 11 but got very bored. The wife was using Android and choosing themes and widgets and I said wow I miss that too. So more freedom with Android, but also more road bumps. I've never had more app crashes or freezes than with Android. Ios is much more restricted but hell of a lot smoother. Not to mention I loved the iphone videography ability over Android. But I prefer Android stills over iphone. And when I say Android I refer to my current device. Either way I enjoy different things from both platforms.
Sadly the fantastic camera quality of the S21 doesn't get done justice by most social media apps wich makes it kinda pointless since u can't share uf pictures in the same quality as u took them. This makes the IPhone 12 a better phone if ur active on social media.
I broke my S10, have an S21 on order. Am I doing the right thing? I could fix my S10 for $300 but I think that is a bit much. I really liked that phone
Samsung's advantages are: better and brighter screen, better selfie camera, better zoom camera, better wide-angle camera, fast charging, reversible charging, better user interface, and the advantages of iPhone 12 are better build quality. Got the 12 Pro Max and luv it, do wish they added 120/Pro Motion, but next year sounds like that year. I do like the S21 Ultra tho, if any phone could get me to cross over to Samsung and Android it would be that one! 🙌🏼
I have the iPhone 12 that I absolutely love. I preordered the S21 and got it on launch day. I loved it too but ultimately decided to stick with the iPhone 12 so I returned the S21. I think IMessage is the main reason why. But then I started to miss the S21 so I ordered another one yesterday lol. I think I’ll keep both, they are both fantastic in their own right. I’d still would keep the iPhone if I had to keep one just cause of again, IMessage and FaceTime and I have plenty of accessories for the iPhone Shay l already
yeah once you're baked into the apple ecosystem, it's really hard to get out. I try to take that out of the equation when doing these comparison reviews, same with android features.
@@JSLReview I used to sleep outside for iphones! Now I use samsung phones with the iPad and air pods! The only thing that's not seemless is the messaging but you can use the Google messages to text on ipad! Best of both worlds! Iphone is so far behind that's the only thing that's lacking in Apple ecosystem

I have S10+ and Ip8, wanted to upgrade to Ip12 but currently S21+ is cheaper and has more memory. But my S10+ still working smoothly, so therefore I will choose Ip12
I am on a android right now which works fine but I am getting the iPhone 12 as my phone is like 6 years old and I lost software updates too quickly so when I heard the iPhone 12 and most iPhones last year's on software I figured I would get one

i purchased the iPhone 12. the first apple phone for me as i always have had android, from Samsung and one plus mostly. the biggest thing i miss is not being to have the apps i want and if they weren't in the store I could easily sideload it. other than that the iPhone is great. no complaints and i thought i would have a bad experience. At the end of the day they are both great phones. Can't go wrong either way. The whole which is better at this point is pointless. Good vid.
The funny thing is I've yet to run into something I can't do on my iPhone 12 that I can do on my Galaxy s20 FE beyond having some blank space on my home screen and use... Trusted unlock(?) I think it's called - where having a watch allowed you to bypass the lock screen. iMessage is a big deal, but the real clincher is the apple watch. It blows everything available For Android out of the water. Had fitbit never killed pebble without releasing decent hardware, I'd likely have never even given the apple watch a chance.

I've only owned samsung & switched to LG for a minute but switched right back because LG is just not as vibrant, when it comes to which phone is better it's all a matter of preference. I just got the s21 ultra & it's nice & smoothe
I've been Samsung since the smartphone era, all of my family and 98% of my friends are Android. If more of them were iOS then I would give iPhone a try. Otherwise I wouldn't get the full value of iMessage or Facetime so it would be pointless in me switching. Beautiful looking devices though. One small simple thing that does it for me with Android is having personal customised songs for different folk that ring me. I'd never have the patience for this iTunes malarkey.
I wish we had the Blackberry Passport on BB10 OS it was just amazing - if I had to choose between iPhone and S21 actually I would not get either and wait out a bit longer to see what happens. I would like Android to become more integrated like IOS but it is still fragmented but Windows integration is a great start, IOS just does not have much of anything you can personalise and it becomes robotic overtime just plane and dull. I think creativity is a must and Android wins for me. Plus DEX is fabulous and I use either Duo or Telegram as a FaceTime replacement.
IOS is the best and top of the line in terms of polish, usage and functionality, and this is the main advantage of Apple mobile unit/s against the competitions...
I just bought a 12 Pro Max after having a S21 Ultra. Apple's UI isn't as flexible as Android but it just works better. The standard sensor and wide angle sensor are better than the S21 Ultras although I do miss the 10x zoom. Video is also better on the 12 Pro Max. It just looks more natural and has better dynamic range. One last thing, the iPhone build quality is amazing. It feels premium and then some. I'm converted.
I love my S21 .... I love the duel charging on the S21 to charge my watch.. also so much more personal then Iphone.. I had a iphone for years.. Vid goes to S21 .. I take alot of Vid and I don't agree with you on this one.. But both are great ! I just love all the features on the S21 better..
They are both better iOS and Android can do basically the same thing if you're on Android get the Samsung phone or other phones if you're on Apple well you have to get an Apple phone it's that simple people. Best is what you think is what it is

Basically, it is down to whether you prefer iOS or Android. Both have pros and cons and I would be happy with either if given a free one. However, I would choose neither if it was my own money. I suppose this comparison is aimed at the US market as the rest of the world has far more choice just than the boring Apple -v- Samsung US infatuation! Cheers!
Yeah OS preference will play a huge factor in choosing which phone to go with, I try and avoid that in my reviews because it's so partial. What phone do you go with if not either of these?
@@JSLReview I am looking at the OPPO Find X3 or OP9 Pro but the Mi11 Ultra (Pro) looks interesting as well as the ASUS ROG Phone 4 and if SONY gets the Xperia 1 MK 3 right then as they do great carrier deals (33-50% off) that maybe my choice. What is clear is that it is too early to get carried away by the s21 line and if you want an iPhone I would recommend you wait for 7-months for the 2021 version!
I now have ip12 from a hand me down ip7. Im sorry for samsung but i had several not good experience buying their products. I had Samsung TabS2 which bent and had problems with its screen which accdg to the service center will not be fixed. Then i had a midrange J7pro which After a year lagged down. So yeah, i switched to iphone ecosystem because of that.
iphone always has a premium feeling even though Samsung has many adv features, at present using iphone12 believe me whenever I compare my phone with any other android user I feel king 👑

Im planning the same thing upgrade from 6s plus. Is the portrait mode any good on s21? Does it zoom from telephoto or crop in from main?
I’ve had enough of android. High refresh rate is great but it doesn’t compensate for the better user experience I’m currently having with an iphone.

I got the iPhone 12 a few days ago and I love it! Battery is fantastic as well as the cameras. Came from an Android before and it’s quite different!

Galaxy s9, the battery lasted me for an hour and this one lasts me up to seven hours so it’s an upgrade!

Nothing wrong with both side just the many people in it for being hypocrite and many are bothered because Samsung is actually a great brand for phones and accessories
If I didn’t need iMessage, and have thousands of pics on iCloud I would 100% pick the new Samsung’s over my iPhone 12 Pro. But I’m kinda too deep into apples ecosystem with my MacBook Pro, AirPods etc.

I've slowly gone into the samsung space with having the buds ,phone and watch I love the custom options you can get with it I don't regret it but I wish the 120hz last longer with the battery as I've turned it off
5G also drains the battery and slows phone down so keep it on 4G
As @Fernando M has said 5G is the main reason why your battery is draining, I'm sure you've figured this out after 4 month
I am very happy with my S21+. I'm sure both S21 and iPhone 12 have amazing hardware, but it's the software that made the difference for me (though S21's 120hz display was also one great reason).
Tried iPhone 12 of my gf, and iOS just isn't for me. It's not as smooth, the notifications are horrible (cannot see notification messages when phone is locked, lack of notification preview), and the customization is only sub-par compared to Android.
same. also switched from iPhone 11 Pro to S10+ 512gb and i will never go back.

I agree. Apple is better for ME, but not for everyone. However I currently use the S20FE 5g. I used the iphone 11 but got very bored. The wife was using Android and choosing themes and widgets and I said wow I miss that too. So more freedom with Android, but also more road bumps. I've never had more app crashes or freezes than with Android. Ios is much more restricted but hell of a lot smoother. Not to mention I loved the iphone videography ability over Android. But I prefer Android stills over iphone. And when I say Android I refer to my current device. Either way I enjoy different things from both platforms.
S21 is easily the better phone, hence why I brought it, over the iPhone. I also was considering switching to iPhone as well.

Sadly the fantastic camera quality of the S21 doesn't get done justice by most social media apps wich makes it kinda pointless since u can't share uf pictures in the same quality as u took them. This makes the IPhone 12 a better phone if ur active on social media.
Just get an iPhone 6 or lower and use it to upload your photos and videos by transferring it from your s21

Got the 12 Pro Max and luv it, do wish they added 120/Pro Motion, but next year sounds like that year. I do like the S21 Ultra tho, if any phone could get me to cross over to Samsung and Android it would be that one! 🙌🏼

I have the iPhone 12 that I absolutely love. I preordered the S21 and got it on launch day. I loved it too but ultimately decided to stick with the iPhone 12 so I returned the S21. I think IMessage is the main reason why. But then I started to miss the S21 so I ordered another one yesterday lol. I think I’ll keep both, they are both fantastic in their own right. I’d still would keep the iPhone if I had to keep one just cause of again, IMessage and FaceTime and I have plenty of accessories for the iPhone Shay l already
yeah once you're baked into the apple ecosystem, it's really hard to get out. I try to take that out of the equation when doing these comparison reviews, same with android features.

The only thing that's not seemless is the messaging but you can use the Google messages to text on ipad! Best of both worlds! Iphone is so far behind that's the only thing that's lacking in Apple ecosystem

I have S10+ and Ip8, wanted to upgrade to Ip12 but currently S21+ is cheaper and has more memory. But my S10+ still working smoothly, so therefore I will choose Ip12

I am on a android right now which works fine but I am getting the iPhone 12 as my phone is like 6 years old and I lost software updates too quickly so when I heard the iPhone 12 and most iPhones last year's on software I figured I would get one

i purchased the iPhone 12. the first apple phone for me as i always have had android, from Samsung and one plus mostly. the biggest thing i miss is not being to have the apps i want and if they weren't in the store I could easily sideload it. other than that the iPhone is great. no complaints and i thought i would have a bad experience. At the end of the day they are both great phones. Can't go wrong either way. The whole which is better at this point is pointless. Good vid.

The funny thing is I've yet to run into something I can't do on my iPhone 12 that I can do on my Galaxy s20 FE beyond having some blank space on my home screen and use... Trusted unlock(?) I think it's called - where having a watch allowed you to bypass the lock screen.
iMessage is a big deal, but the real clincher is the apple watch. It blows everything available For Android out of the water. Had fitbit never killed pebble without releasing decent hardware, I'd likely have never even given the apple watch a chance.
The iPhone 12 is respectively good , but if you aren't Trapped in the monopoly that is apples ecosystem , the S21 is a way better choice , imo the camera comparison there isn't really fair he barely focused o the main cameras and didn't even talk about the zoom while he totally focused on the iPhones videos

I've only owned samsung & switched to LG for a minute but switched right back because LG is just not as vibrant, when it comes to which phone is better it's all a matter of preference. I just got the s21 ultra & it's nice & smoothe

I've been Samsung since the smartphone era, all of my family and 98% of my friends are Android. If more of them were iOS then I would give iPhone a try. Otherwise I wouldn't get the full value of iMessage or Facetime so it would be pointless in me switching. Beautiful looking devices though.
One small simple thing that does it for me with Android is having personal customised songs for different folk that ring me.
I'd never have the patience for this iTunes malarkey.
I wish we had the Blackberry Passport on BB10 OS it was just amazing - if I had to choose between iPhone and S21 actually I would not get either and wait out a bit longer to see what happens. I would like Android to become more integrated like IOS but it is still fragmented but Windows integration is a great start, IOS just does not have much of anything you can personalise and it becomes robotic overtime just plane and dull. I think creativity is a must and Android wins for me. Plus DEX is fabulous and I use either Duo or Telegram as a FaceTime replacement.

IOS is the best and top of the line in terms of polish, usage and functionality, and this is the main advantage of Apple mobile unit/s against the competitions...
I just bought a 12 Pro Max after having a S21 Ultra. Apple's UI isn't as flexible as Android but it just works better.
The standard sensor and wide angle sensor are better than the S21 Ultras although I do miss the 10x zoom. Video is also better on the 12 Pro Max. It just looks more natural and has better dynamic range.
One last thing, the iPhone build quality is amazing. It feels premium and then some.

I like the customising you can do and the 8k camera on the s21 but iphones are generally thought to be more fashionable.
They are both better iOS and Android can do basically the same thing if you're on Android get the Samsung phone or other phones if you're on Apple well you have to get an Apple phone it's that simple people. Best is what you think is what it is

The s21 in my opinion is better because of the features that it offers one time I tried to get into the apple ecosystem but it was too boring for me the lack of customization features and the notch are what most got to me

Basically, it is down to whether you prefer iOS or Android. Both have pros and cons and I would be happy with either if given a free one. However, I would choose neither if it was my own money. I suppose this comparison is aimed at the US market as the rest of the world has far more choice just than the boring Apple -v- Samsung US infatuation! Cheers!
Yeah OS preference will play a huge factor in choosing which phone to go with, I try and avoid that in my reviews because it's so partial. What phone do you go with if not either of these?
@@JSLReview I am looking at the OPPO Find X3 or OP9 Pro but the Mi11 Ultra (Pro) looks interesting as well as the ASUS ROG Phone 4 and if SONY gets the Xperia 1 MK 3 right then as they do great carrier deals (33-50% off) that maybe my choice. What is clear is that it is too early to get carried away by the s21 line and if you want an iPhone I would recommend you wait for 7-months for the 2021 version!

Im sorry for samsung but i had several not good experience buying their products. I had Samsung TabS2 which bent and had problems with its screen which accdg to the service center will not be fixed. Then i had a midrange J7pro which After a year lagged down.
So yeah, i switched to iphone ecosystem because of that.
The best Samsung products are the s21 series and tab 7
