- Sunny Briggs the legendary boat builder in the Outer Banks of North Carolina speaks to me from his home. At 80 years old he's still making boats out of his outdoor building just to stay moving. He plans to make 2 boats a year and after seeing him work he has not lost a beat . My name is Alfred Montaner Host of the Chit Show in Miami. Great depiction of the boat building industry in eastern NC. Thanks for coming by the the shop at Oceans East. If you want to get more in depth my great uncle was Warren Oneal. He introduced the Carolina Flair design and set the standard for modern sportfishing boats. Love the Chit Show much love my dude.
Gotta love how humble and friendly Manuel is, great to see how much the builders respect each other rather than acting like cutthroat competitors. And that interview with Sunny Briggs, a living legend, was just amazing! I didn't expect to get a history lesson about one of my favorite places on the planet, this OBX series was great!
