- Black Point Marina Boat with Host Alfred Montaner. We filmed today a funny Chit Show about a buoy and a bunch of Cuban /Americans.

I am a half Greek half Anglo American Floridian. 1/2 my family is from Miami originally. One of the main reasons I watch you is because you are Cuban. I remember in the late 90s my best friend introduced me to a neighbor of his. His neighbor wanted to pay us to make a run from Key West to Cuba to pick up his family. I knew our boat could make the trip down there in about an hour, but I just couldn't do it. Besides all the trouble you could get into, my biggest fear was not connecting up with them and they get lost. I couldn't have that on my conscience. There's just so many variables and ways it could go wrong, fast.
A couple of years later, his neighbor bought an old 24' Wellcraft Airslot and supposedly made the run in about 12hrs.

Florida has Crocodiles and Biscayne Bay has Salt Water Crocs…
Know your marine life as I boated in Miami forever and everyone we ran with knew about the crocodiles. There weren’t many, but they were known to be down by Turkey Point Power Plant by the towers. This was definitely in the bay in the salt water.

The young captain had a great teacher. Dad did a great job. He didn’t get mad, yell at the kid and take over the controls when the kid made the slightest of mistakes. Looks like he only helped with the steering to prevent hitting the dock.
