@@artloverivy To be honest, I really don't like characterizing dinosaurs as "serial killers" or any of that shit, anyway. I mean, they're _animals,_ they were once real, living, breathing creatures. As if the _T. rex_ wouldn't have eaten the heroes the exact way the _Giganotosaurus_ would have. They _kind of_ got away with this in JW and Fallen Kingdom because the "villain dinosaurs" of those movies were genetically engineered, unstable, unnatural hybrids, plus they got a bonus by establishing the _Indominus'_ upbringing as mentally damaging. But this is just a real dinosaur that really existed and was certainly _not_ a "serial killer" of dinosaurs.

Wow. Not only is the giga's appearance just wildly inaccurate, I don't think I have ever seen a sequence with less tension in it. Bro was literally giving them a free pass.
At some point, I fully expect someone to come out and say this movie was actually a comedy/satire on the original Jurassic Park and they were so committed, they got the entire cast in on it.
I hate how we have a small group of atrocious producers, directors, and screenwriters who are taking advantage of such amazing set designers, artists, and computer animators to visualize their absolute garbage scripts and ruin our favorite franchises.
Gigantosarus has the smallest brain. Meanders over to them, let's them hide behind the car, walks round the side of the car and sees them but let's them all somehow run up the ladder before he even runs at them
This beginning part was meant to show the curiosity of Giganotosaurus when seeing humans for the first time. We know it's seen other dinosaurs, we know it's fought some, but most importantly we know it almost ONLY eats deer which are specifically placed in its environment by Biosyn. When confronted with humans, it finds out pretty fast that they're prey, but it still waits before it finds out. Imagine you find a naturally neon pink-shelled egg in your egg carton (not sure if that even exists). Do you instantly pop it into your omelette or do you crack it, see what's inside, inspect the shell and its interior, mix the egg a bit to see what the deal is? That's basically what it does here. As soon as it finds out what they are it starts running at them and tries to eat them.
Fr any Carnivorous Dinosaur like a computer or a raptor would be charging or trying to eat any human they see but apparently a Big ass Dinosaur doesn’t want to eat human like this movie was a waste

It’s almost impressive just how terrible it is.
You're right. Colin Trevorrow should never have been handed the keys to this franchise. There are so many inventive directors out there that know how to create suspense. He's not one of them.
@@brendanfeng1850 Not really… it depends on the animal. Most avoid humans. Some are curious and some will attack unprovoked. Try this in the wild with a Polar Bear, Komodo Dragon, Crocodile, Tiger or Lion and see how well it works. Even some herbivores like Hippos and African Buffalo can be very aggressive. Besides, if accuracy is important, we know that the Giganotosaurus wasn’t just large, but also extremely fast, and likely targeted larger sauropods. It demonstrates none of that speed here. In fact, carnivores like it often had to resort to scavenging or targeting smaller animals, where speed is of the essence. These movies show very little concern for “accuracy”, and that continues to be the case in this scene. I’m fine with them not being accurate. My problem is with the terrible set up and blocking of this scene.

they should have kept the plot armor so the audience is confident, then suddenly kill one of the main characters with a lot of blood splashing. The audience would go into panic.
The failure in these films is that as you increase the main cast you really open yourself to having to kill one or more off... These movies are fun but don't have the feel of JP from 93. You were literally on the edge of your seat throughout that film.

Honestly, I love that they used a real animatronic for the Giganotosaurus instead of that cheap CGI shit that they used in the previous two films. Especially when it came to the Indominus Rex in Jurassic World. To me, the Giganotosaurus in this film is the best looking large carnivorous dinosaur in the franchise since the Spinosaurus in Jurassic Park III. And I prefer to see animatronics over straight up CGI, because it makes the dinosaurs look much more realistic….
Like the Trex, Raptors, Spino and others there is a mix of Animatronics and CGI... There's plenty of Giga shots that are CGI. They've gotten better and making the transitions more seamless...
Remember when they said it was gonna be like the joker. I was expecting this thing to just start talking about society or something, but all we got is a carnivore that doesn’t even kill anything in the movie.
What made the Spinosaur the biggest was the giant sail it had on his back, but you are right, for me it was bigger and even deadlier than the Giga and Trex combine

That "biggest carnivore the world has ever seen" line haunts me, especially since it comes from a character who really should know better. Great job making Alan freaking Grant come across as a shitty paleontologist, guys. Or maybe the only research he ever did on the Giganotosaurus was playing Dino Crisis 2. (If you haven't played that game (and you totally should, it's a banger), its Giganotosaurus was so oversized it literally picked up a T.rex in its mouth and threw it!)
Those dinosaurs, which still survive, really need some counseling & guidance bc they have been arranged to fail in devouring a few of these guys here FOR DECADES. Guess that's pretty frustrating!
To the people complaining that it didn’t immediately attack them: Predators in real life also behave this way. They can be curious, play with their food, or take time to evaluate the situation. Whether or not the giga behaved this way, I don’t know.
Depends. Spinosaurus is debated how much time it actually spent on land vs water, but it was the LARGEST Carnivorous dinosaur known. Though T-Rex actually had the stronger bite then spino and was better suited for Land. For instance, depending on how it fell those spines could cause it's spine to break. Giga i'm not sure how much larger it was then the T rex.
@@Mrbladeos IRL T rex is now again the biggest because of it's mass but in this universe Kayla and Alan both said that Giga is the biggest so I have no problem to assume that yea Giga is the biggest terrestrial carnivore in Jurassic universe

The Jurassic franchise is a perfect example of why not every great film needs to be made into a franchise.
Totally
Lost world would've been the perfect place to stop. And I say that as someone who enjoyed the 2 sequels that came after that
Didn't see a Jurassic World (or whatever this was) but if this clip is any example of the movie it looks absolutely silly.
Unfortunately big money always drives those decisions in Hollywood, not quality. The original ('93) was terrific. Both the Lost World and Jurassic World were decently entertaining. But the other 3 are borderline unwatchable.
I blame Colin Trevorrow and his whole team of lame writers.
This movie had the potential to be great. Instead they had an agenda with a group that wasn’t fans of the original 2 movies and books.

If anything Giga acted way more peaceful than the other dinos. To the point that they don’t even feel like a villain. Watching them die at the end was just sad :(
@@artloverivy To be honest, I really don't like characterizing dinosaurs as "serial killers" or any of that shit, anyway. I mean, they're _animals,_ they were once real, living, breathing creatures. I understand it's fiction and just a stupid movie, but I don't know, it still just seems cheap to try and ascribe "hero and villain" dinosaurs.

When I first saw this I actually thought it was like this because it had poor vision
No, Hollywood has the smallest brain
Fr any Carnivorous Dinosaur like a computer or a raptor would be charging or trying to eat any human they see but apparently a Big ass Dinosaur doesn’t want to eat human like this movie was a waste

It’s a conga line of characters, slowly walking away from a dinosaur, which has every opportunity to kill them, but never does.
I could write an essay on everything wrong with this scene. It’s almost impressive just how terrible it is.
You're right. Colin Trevorrow should never have been handed the keys to this franchise. There are so many inventive directors out there that know how to create suspense. He's not one of them.
Tbh this is more realistic bc the giga is an animal and animals don’t just go around eating they’re curious most of the time
@@brendanfeng1850 Not really… it depends on the animal.
@@brendanfeng1850 Are you serious? A real Giga would either ignore them and walk away or eat all of them in seconds. That scene is just retarded.

they should have kept the plot armor so the audience is confident, then suddenly kill one of the main characters with a lot of blood splashing. The audience would go into panic.
