Thanks Tom!!! Of curse it is the least I could do bro!! Ya the suspense is killing them!!! hahaha Thanks for watching and there will be more shout outs coming your way in the future too!! Have a great week!!
Ricer, you are so entertaining. There are not many people who could make a video which deals exclusively with the initial burn off of a grill which I do not own and yet kept my attention the entire time. Very enjoyable.
Hey thanks bro and I really appreciate those kind words!!! I filmed this one right before I went live with you 2 for your show and yes I drank that whole bottle Sancerre!!!!hahaha Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great weekend!!!
Thanks for watching Questerjay!! Glad you enjoyed the video and next up will be a baby back ribs cook and they turned out pretty dang good!! I appreciate you leaving a comment bro and have a great week!!
Hey Ricer! Awesome video! Good idea seasoning the pit after each cook. I haven't even considered that, but thanks for that tip! I do do that with my offset smoker and a few other carbon steel pits so I just have to buy more Pam now LOL! Looking forward to your first cook on it!
Ha ha well Rus time to hit up Pam for a sponsorship!! Ya I give even my pellet grills a quick spray down every few cooks. To me it just seems to be an easier clean up. My wife is programmed to check how cans of canola oil spray we have!! Ha ha Editing some baby backs I did on it right now. Thanks for watching brother and I hope you are having a fantastic week!!
Hahahah ya well I got a couple of those electrified fly swatters now!!!! This is going to be fun!!! ha ha Thanks for watching bro and I hope you have a fantastic week!!!!
Awesome!! Next video will be some baby back ribs I did on it!! Still learning this cooker but it certainly has done a pretty dang good job so far!! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!!
Similar but very different if that makes any sense!! ha ha The 560 is a grilling machine though and gets super hot!! But both are good cookers! Again thanks for watching!!
Thanks Jake and next video coming up is a rib video and next one I need your help so plan on being in another video!!! hahaha Have a great week brother!!
Thanks Andrew!! Ya I am excited about this rig and it certainly is fun to run!! Hahaha ya I can't hardly cook without a little wine in my hand these days, I wonder why??!! ha ha Have a great week brother!!
Nice looking rig. Looking forward to more videos on it. My wife will kill me when I tell her I want another grill. Still trying to get a drum smoker. Lol

Thanks Dawg and ya bro been fun so far!!! Especially grilling with it----crazy high temps for that!! Low N Slow well mixed results so far but hey I got to get to know the pit some first!! I appreciate you watching and I hope you have a great week brother!!!
YA Bubba I have done a few cooks using it and I am still getting to learn how it works but so far so good!!! I really like grilling with it!!! Man it can leave a great sear!!! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I hope you have a great week!!
Hahahah ya I bought a couple bug zappers and one is an electrified fly swatter, this could be interesting!!!! hahahaha Thanks for watching Craig and you have a great week bro!!
Ricer, You will enjoy that cooker. I have had one for about a year. Cool to see you take on smoking and grilling and seasonings you use. PS makes me giggle when you pull your wine bottle out. If I did that at one of my cookouts someone would kick my ass. Been waiting on masterbuilt to do the rotisserie attachment. I see its sold out. Love you enthusiasm and videos and as always peace Luke T
Hahaha Luke!!! Man I tell ya I started drinking wine with BBQ a few years back. I always have a couple beers off camera still even if WTSO is sponsoring the video, they drink beer also!!! hahaha Ya excited to get a few cook videos out on the 560 before the snow flies!!! Plus I have a few new cookers on their way so I got to try to at least introduce them all!!! ha ha Thanks for watching Luke and i hope you have a great week brother!!
Awesome show Ricer. You'll \learn to love that bad boy. Of course, if you ever have any questions feel free and reach out! Enjoy! PS..... use 1/2 soaked in oil paper towel. 1-2-3 it's free and works every time.
Thanks Tommy!!! I certainly do have a few questions and I will hit you up to see how yours handles the low n slow cooks!! I have mainly just grilled on it and wow it does a killer job on high temp cooks!! I did some baby backs and they turned out pretty dang good!! I appreciate you watching bro and I will certainly use that paper towel trick, free is a good word in my vocabulary!! hahaha
Ya Ryan very cool concept and the price is very affordable!! I see a lot of other companies coming out with their own gravity style of cookers in the future for sure!!! Thanks for watching and have a great week brother!!
Thanks Steve and ya so far I have been happy with this cooker! Got a few things to learn on this pit but hey that is the fun of getting a new one!! I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment! Hope you are doing great!!
Dead Broke BBQ yeah we’re doing good here. That smoker has an interesting concept with the electric temp control but charcoal fuel. That’s a great way to not have to babysit the smoker while still getting that smoked flavor
Good to hear and I agree the fan so far holds the temp it is reading with in about 5° to 6° and that is awesome. I will say I need to run my Thermoworks Signals in there to see what the grate temp is holding at but still very impressed!!!
YA PaPa so far so good!! It really crushes when you are grilling with it! very impressed with the high heat cooks! More to come and thanks for watching!! Have a great week!!
Get one!!!! ha ha fun cooker Dash but it does have a few quirks but it certainly is a grilling machine!! Very pleased with it so far, just wish I got the bigger one instead!! Like always thanks for watching bro and have a great week!!
Thank you bro!!! I appreciate you watching and have a great week!! Ps.. what is your first name again?? You always comment and this way I know your first name!!! hahaha
Great question Antonio but I can't answer that yet!! hahaha I did a test run on a brisket and it turned out decent but not great!! So If I had to choose today I take the Kettle & guru just because I know it works hands down!! But I had a great bark off the Masterbuilt and a good smokey flavor!! But grilling I am taking the 560 because dang you can crank out the high temp sears with it!!! More to come I got 6 cooks lined up for it so we will see how it does!!??!! Next video on it I did some baby backs and they turned out pretty good!!
Cool.......such a fun Pit! I enjoy watching cooks on this one....It's a Do it All Pit. 👍 Tom is taking it to the next Level.......Maybe You got a few ideas that You will share with us? Stock up on Charcoal.......You may need it. 🔥 Metal On! \m/
Heck ya Ken!!! I love watching Tom tweak cookers---man of many talents for sure!! If I get an idea, which doesn't happen often I certainly will share!! hahahaha Fun cooker and excited to get a few videos done on it. I have been grilling like a mad man on it lately!! Insane seared steaks!!! Thanks for dropping by Ken and i hope you have a great week brother!!
Ya I do that on all my cookers from time to time----raise that tempo up to burn off the grime!! Thanks Brian and like always I appreciate you leaving a comment bro!! Have a great week!!
I used this pit off camera more than on. I liked it but TH-cam didn't promote the videos so I gave it to my neighbor who still uses it today! Thanks for watching!
I agree Juan. I sold this pit not because I didn't like it, I just don't get any views on it. My neighbor is a very happy man though!! hahaha Thanks for watching brother!!
No hate just want to add my .02. I just did this burn out on my 800. I used a VERY reliable and accurate maverick wireless thermometer. I had this same issue in my pellet smoker just reverse, because the indicated temp was higher than actual. From what I observed on the burn out, my 800 is running too “proud” and showing temps higher than actual. In the first part of the burn out, it was showing about 20 degrees higher than actual. In the second part (400) it was showing 30 degrees higher than actual. I would rather have that than what my pellet smoker does (showing lower than actual). The controller DID keep the temp within. 5-7 degrees, but it’s NOT accurate as far as “actual” temperature! This is no big deal because on tomorrow’s actual cook I will just “adjust” for the difference. As far as the mods, I got my firebox mod from klotesmods.com. He takes a different approach, he uses thick stainless steel plates that are separate from each other rather than one box. His reasoning for this is very sound. A one piece box like the one from LSS tends to warp and bow out because it expands at different rates. The separate pieces can heat and cool independent of each other. If you watch several TH-cam channels that used the LSS one piece design they describe how the walls are “bowing out”. As far as longevity, it’s not about rain or humidity, it’s about how the high temperature deteriorated the factory thin panels. Despite of the insulation, the reason for this mod is not external factors such as rain or humidity, it’s extreme temperatures. Last point, the aftermarket rear vent controls are not to keep rain or snow out, it’s to maximize efficiency in the cooker. Just like any pit, if you can adjust the outlet, it makes the pit much more efficient and stable
No hate felt!! My had issues. I gave it to my neighbor who only uses it for grilling. Worked great for that but I wreck a brisket and a prime rib in that pit while do some low n slow cooking. Those MOD's were given to me. I can say I like the pit but my controller was junk and I didn't get any views on these videos. So I made room for other pits to do videos on. Thanks for watching and all the good info for others to read!! Have a great weekend!!
You got a great cooker so congratulations!!! I use my DLX all the time!! The Masterbuilt is fun because it is a charcoal gravity fed cooker and I grew up cooking with charcoal. Have fun with the Rider and I have a few more cooks I am going to do using it!! Thanks for watching and have a great week!!
Awesome Video Ricer! Thanks for the Shout out! I guess your fans will need to keep on watching to see if you get the "Vent Mod"!
Thanks Tom!!! Of curse it is the least I could do bro!! Ya the suspense is killing them!!! hahaha Thanks for watching and there will be more shout outs coming your way in the future too!! Have a great week!!

Thank you. Is there a process to season a griddle? Thank you
Yes but griddles are different. Just need to bake on some cooking oil.
