Everyone can be Buddha if they deserved it.

In Journey To The West heaven put a crown on his head that causes pain to a specific incantation. This is how Tripitaka kept him under control so he wouldn't relapse into his destructive ways
The one thing I don’t understand is that this is wukong at the end of his journey so shouldn’t he one tap erlang or is erlang just that powerful I haven’t read too much on erlang shen
In the original setting, erlang is stronger than wukong in all his skills, but wukong has an immortal body, so even if erlang can defeat wukong, he can't kill him, if they were both flesh and blood, then wukong would just be a mid-level challenger that erlang could slaughter at will.

But original source is like an allegory, where that Sun Wukong represents human's inner stubbornness and rebellious attitude, and that all of Chinese Pagan Patheon, Lao Tzu, and Confucian unable to control and conquer this human's inner stubbornness and rebellious attitude, and only Buddha able to do that, and therefore kinda claiming Buddhism as the best among all of Chinese religion. But according to this game even Buddha cannot conquer human's inner stubbornness and rebellious attitude. So Buddhism is not the best. Ah interesting isnt it how modern Chinese modern world view this story. Or I am just reading to much on this weird game.
Basically he was torn apart. He never truly died since Erlang kept his memories in his third eye, but if you don't get them then he's gone for good at the end of the game

He had been a total @ss to Wukong in 'Journey in the West', which was within good reason from his perspective and he IS the only one who bested Wukong among other warrior gods. I am very surprise by his lack of honor in the game though, a really good reminder that this is after all the 'black myth' universe.
Wukong's opening match against Erlang Shen made me very disappointed when I didn't get to witness the heavenly soldiers beating drums and blowing trumpets to show their strength, along with the cheers of the army cheering for their general when fighting, which created a very epic scene like in the feudal war movies or the Three Kingdoms movies that I used to look, in the game, the army just stood still and lifeless before being blown away by the power of Wukong and Yang Jian, they are not the main characters, but don't make them look so bad and weak, it's an insult to the celestial soldier, I'm Vietnamese and like many other Asians watch Chinese movies and myths, I feel it's a huge minus, it doesn't make me feel completely naïve when playing the game, I'm always on the lookout that I might be tricked by some part of the game. The game graphics of the forest scenes are excellent, in my opinion, real filmmakers should be invited to advise the game developers on the details of the game's story background, this is just a suggestion, for a first Chinese blockbuster game, you guys can definitely do better. Anyway, congratulations, there are many Asian myths waiting to be shown.

IMO, gameplay is really close to Sekiro but worst (I really don't like the moveset seems unnatural). Animation and graphics are aight, sometimes facial expression doesn't fit the voicelines, and the introductory story is mid at best. Worst of all is the optimization, I have 4070 but it stutters like hell at med-high settings wth. Refunded it immediately.

Seems to me that the combat AI is nerfed. It's nowhere near as relentless as those from Form Software.
