- Melody Walker Farris is standing trial on charges she killed her husband and burned his remains on their property. Prosecutors say at the time of the murder Gary Farris refused to give Melody money but instead gave it to their adult children.

These spouses apparently don't follow true crime shows... otherwise they wouldn't try to off their spouses, because they'll know they're going to get caught.

Vibes are weird that way. When she smiled during opening statements, it was the worst of looks.
How did she get the body up the stairs by herself? I think she had help from either her son or her lover.
Upstairs? If the house was built on a hill, as it seems, the basement opened out at ground level st the other side of the house. There were French doors (or similar), leading outdoors. They also had earthmoving machinery and off-road vehicles.
I believe she had help from her lover, Roy. She knew the lover for many years, years before she married.
Use the equipment would have left marks in the lawn. Using machines at night would have drew attention from the son Scott, who stayed in the barn. Think the lover (Roy)and Melody rolled the body out the French door. They wrapped Gary in a sheet, opened the doors, and rolled him down the hill, which led right to the burn pile.
Million dollar home, with a million dollar horse ranch and not one camera on the property.
@@Philosophymineoryours Didn't the Prosecution (during the Opening Statement) say that Roy had told LE that Melody had called him at 2-ish in the morning of July 4, and that she confessed "He's on the burn pile."? He claimed to have replied, "Don't tell me anything more."
He later recanted that statement, after pressure from Melody (seen in text messages).

I’ve asked myself the same thing and to normal people, divorce would be the logical solution. But I think it’s the power these people get from literally eliminating the person from existence. I’m sure it’s more intricate psychologically but it’s just pure evil.

Did you see the multiple different farm vehicles etc? Those were definitely part of moving him and his blood was found on them. Plus she's a farm girl. Ropes and pulleys can make it much easier to move things. She could do it.
I remember this little lady killed her huge boyfriend and they thought she had help to move his body but she did it on her own....she confessed and admitted she just used a hand truck lol. Killers can be clever when necessary.
The son KNEW his mother was hateful and made ugly comments to the dad often! While watching this trail, the mother sounded hateful toward her husband. I’m sure the son has witnessed that in the past!

They keep talking about blood evidence, and how murderer could’ve got him to the Burn site.Was it with horses or tractors, or RVs or whatever. he could’ve been shot right at the burn site as he enjoyed burning stuff, therefore, there wouldn’t be any blood evidence or need for transferring him..

People are saying that she couldn't do this by herself...WELL she must have had help!! Why would someone else kill him and burn him on her property?? It is NOT beyond reasonable doubt to me that she had HELP!! What is her alibi?? Does it hold up??
I don't think she even would need help. Between all the different farm vehicles and machines and the fact that she was a farm girl that was good with ropes and could rig up a pulley system...she didn't need help.

Maybe that's a good reason every state should be a no fault divorce state. The south has the only remaining fault divorce laws. Every other state says we don't care why you're divorcing and it has no bearing on dividing assets.

It is Common for couples to choose to separate in different areas of their house,, due to money issues, lifestyle that no one wants to loose !!! Has been going on for centuries ..
I understand that every murder case requires a group of experts to discuss the fine details of 'who dunnit' However, what I find shocking, are the so called experts smirking when discussing who murdered this poor innocent man !!!! I'm from London and are newsreaders and journalists at least show some compassion when discussing a tragedy. This is not a comedy sketch, this is real life. I'm sure they would react differently if this was a family member.

The son, Scott probably argued with his dad, and got fed up, shooting him from behind when he was working at the firepit, and then his dad fell forward into the firepit. The tractor may have been used to cover up the body in the firepit - no moving of the body. Motive, conflict & jealousy that he wasn't getting the same money as his brother, from big daddy.

Y'all are underestimating the power of adrenaline and anger. I could see this woman getting something to drag him on to lessen her load. They live in a lavish remote farm.. no one soul is going to randomly show up for hours. She had plenty of time to do whatever was necessary to move him. Her husband tried to divorce her years before this, and they reconciled. She probably was planning this for a while. The clean-up was sloppy, though. She pulled a Joel Guy Jr.

Melody didnt think she would get caught, bottom line. Money is not going to buy her way out of this one. She lived a life of "I want it,I get it", the life of only the finest things no matter the cost. The cost of having an affair with Roy and losing the "finer" life just wasn't going to cut it. Divorce wasn't an option.
